Deck Description

The most recent woo brew on channelfireball.com, green summer, got me thinking about generating card draw through creatures. This is my first attempt at going for that flavor, but through a slightly different route. In green summer, you are ramping hard into soul of the harvest to then start drawing like crazy. That deck can be way more explosive than this one, but it is also very exposed to counter magic, creature removal and board wipes. Here our card advantage is generated mainly through creature flow through the board state, either through sacrificing our own creatures to disciple of bolas or killing of their creatures while harvester of souls is in play.

A couple of reasons I think this deck will be very good.
1: enchantment hate in standard right now is light. The top decks (delver, pod, zombies), only have responses after boarding.
2: The creature heavy play in standard puts stop removal at a premium. "But what about resto angel?" Well, don't try to shoot stuff when your opponent has four mana up and plays a set of resto angels. Also, having spot removal/counterspells makes attacking into resto way easier.
3: Card advantage: The deck has card advantage built right into it through A) snapcaster removal, B) disciple of Bolas C) harvester of souls.
4: Potential for aggressive starts. Ummm, stangleroot + rancor. "Oh he is still around, homicidal seclusion on top)"can swing for 8 lifelink trample. That seems good.
5: It doesn't play red or white: If the popular sword is war and peace, not being in white or red is nice.

Drawbacks:
1: Weak board presence. This leaves you open to swarming token decks.
2: Weak to counter spells. Cavern of souls just doesn't work for enchantments.
3: Weak to vapor snag. In order for homicidal to work, you need one guy on the board. If he gets snagged when you attack, that is a bummer....man.

In a couple months with the release of Ravnica, this deck (like all 3 colored decks), will improve with the anticipated duel lands.

I would love to hear thoughts and suggestions. The side board is geared towards the decks short comings by incorporating autum's veil (an awesome card no one uses for some reason) ratchet bomb and some of the usual artifact removal ect. I think the whole thing can improve, but lets get there eh!
