Deck Description

I really happened to love Reap Intellect, or should i simply say "opened a lot of them during the pre-release." However, after playing with them, i found that it is quite the powerful card. Unfortunately its CMC to be effective is too much. So I tried to think of what ways could this card be accelerated. First card that came into my mind was Crypt Ghast, a simple easy decision that is key to the acceleration in this deck. Crypt Ghast is limited to only swamps, so i first viewed this deck from a monoblack lens with a splash of blue for Reap Intellect. Of course I then thought of monoblack cards like Liliana of the Dark Realms and Mutilate. But as I was sifting through my cards for crypt ghasts, i stumbled upon a small little one-drop blue friend of mine....Realmwright. This card is important in allowing this deck to go Esper. Realmwright allows me to play any land type I want and be assured it will be a swamp on the battlefield. It effectively allows me to play Reap Intellect on turn five for a maximum of X = 6!!!! This assures me that I will really be able to dissect my opponents deck. Nonetheless, I am able to play the all might Blood Baron!!! Through the use of effective lifelink and extort cards I am able to create a large life separation between my opponent and I. Ultimately, I will finnish the match incredibly strongly with either Blood Baron of Vizkopa, Aetherling (which, trust me, you will have the mana to abuse), or Obzedat.

How to Play

The goal is start off with realmwright, into a blind obedience or a control spell, into a turn three control based spell (azorius charm (extorted), tragic slip, detention sphere). From here you play your turn four Crypt ghast, and now it gets fun!!! turn five you play reap intellect for up to 6 so that you can empty your opponent's hand and library, battlefield, and graveyard of those cards exiled with reap intellect. Most likely you would have completely disrupted your opponents plan so that by turn six you can effectively play your win condition and finish the game with ease (knowing your opponent's hand is empty).
