The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

This deck as changed so many times I can't even remember what it looked like when I started. This has been a hard deck to figure out. It was blue/black, then black, then red/blue/black, and now its only black again.

Kind of an art form I've discovered, discard. This deck is meant to make you pay for discarding with life, then gets you crushed with subsequently large creatures. Seems to work just fine until something comes up and I get screwed every game afterward.

At any rate, here is the latest version, probably gonna be reworked for the millionth time soon. But in order to do that, I need your comments so please post :)

Deck discussion for Discard (Not of the T2 variety unfortunately)

working with discard is very frustrating but you seem to have taken a very different approach and i like it. I would swap Wrench Mind for Hymn to Torach, that is a card no discard deck should be without. Besides your dark rituals i think cabal coffers should help with mana accel. I love all your creatures, its rare to see a discard deck with so many in them and ones that work well togather, 4 Nyxathid is a great idea those things can add up quick. I would say get some bigger discard powers but I think what you have going is pretty damn good I would suggest taking a look at one creature: Nezumi Shortfang which after being transformed into Stabwhisker the Odious can combo very well with quest for the nihil stone.

So I pulled the wrench minds for hymn to tourachs. The former weren't bad because no one runs bad artifacts so as a whole I win anyway, but I agree, do the most damage per card. I pulled the vampires bite's for another Painful Quandary and Liliana Vess, not for two more megrims. I already run 4 Liliana's Caresses and there is such a thing called over kill. Now I really like the Nezumi Shortfang idea, I have one and could easily pick up another. The problem would be who to take out for them. I would have to go with the plainswalker because I would have to protect her after all, not something easily done with this deck. So I guess the question is Shortfang or Vess.

the rack is a must have for any discard deck because it will hurt them for having little or no cards in their hand. also i would add 2 cabal coffers in place of 2 swamps for mana accel.
