It's all about the Rogue Deck. The power cards from popular builds will always be too expensive. A bit of creativity can keep you competitive on the cheep. Mono-White equipment decks are a perfect example. A week ago they were an occasionally seen deck type and Devout Lightcaster and Stoneforge Mystic were junk-rares. Now all of a sudden they have shot up in price because of the deck's ability to beat Vamps and Jund. Run through gatherer, find some sleeper cards that haven't been exploited yet and build outside the box. Save money, be original, and kick some net-decker ass.
Quite true. Having no budget makes it hard to build decks. And yet another rapidly rising example to the price up is allies. In the past week, the R/W ally deck I made went from $12 to $16 to who knows where since Channel Fireball is currently out of Kazuul Warlord. The deck is still reasonable, but a 33% gain in less than a week is substantial.
100% agreed. 75% of the decks i post on this site are built for budget and consequently suck. : ( i agree with the rogue statement by Valdereius Rex but its hard coming up with weird concepts on budget (and standard because thats what im trying to play) as well. i would know. ive also tried. (kederekt leviethan decks, and other weird and silly combos) lol. half my decks blow. and actually my answer is also allies (saw samuraibaraks comment). im trying to make a allied emeria's monument deck which by the way, could any of you help me with that if you have the chance? its appreciated. sorry for advertising here. just saw the opportunity. im happy to see that there are plenty others as frustrated as me. : )
well not happy (i wish the best to all of you) but you know what i mean.
Most of my decks I have the cash to make but don't actually have the cards for. I just make hypothetical decks to think about making. As for this deck, WIN.
