The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

This is my current Azorius deck that I use, it formerly was a spirit deck but I am transforming it into a full control deck.

Cards that I am looking to remove:

Dungeon Geists
(Possibly) Redirect
Safe Passage
Hidden Strings
Stolen Identity
Judge's Familiar

Cards that I am looking to get more of or add:

Talrand, Sky Summoner
Augur of Bolas
Disperse
Hands of Binding
Detention Sphere
Silence
Awe Strike

If you could give me some advice on what I could do to make this deck better, please help! I reward people who help me by helping them back!

How to Play

With this deck, I attempt to control the board with counterspells and removal, while slowly hitting the opponent with a small group of creatures to a victory.

Deck discussion for Daxos for the Win

Looks good! Love the interaction between daxos and the charm.

Silence could help stall your opponent and awe strike could be better than safe passage in some cases.

hmmm, I think I'll have to add those to the cards I need.

Also, do you think Lone revenant would be much good for this deck? I have a playset lying around somewhere that I hardly ever use.

That depends, if you plan on keeping around ten creatures. If you add too many his ability would hardly activate. Arbiter of the ideal might be more effective if you add more creatures.

So, in short, does this work like Delver? It seems that you're controlling the board to grind then to death, but without needing to scry or rearrange for Daxos to work.

Also, I'm sure you're trying to keep it at a low price range, but one or two of the cheapest of the Swords (fire and ice, light and shadow, body and mind, war and peace, feast and famine, either feast and famine or body and mind are the cheapest) could help as well, especially with the protection given.

yeah, the cheapest sword is $8.90, way out of my price range. Also, this deck works as more of a generalized control, i dont know why i named it after daxos, since there is no main card in this deck.

Sword of War and Peace is ten dollars cheaper than Feast and Famine and arguably more effective in this deck where you are Render(ing) Silent and Silenc(ing) your opponents to keep cards in their hands. Take it from me, that sword HURTS.

Sword of War and Peace is far too much for this deck, unfortunately.

So work towards acquiring a few, if this is a deck you'd like to play with! I started out the same way and now I have a fairly decent collection. This game is a decent investment as many cards never lose their value. Go mow a lawn for 20 bucks and buy two of them haha

True story. When I stopped playing back in 2002...i did not know if Magic would ever continue...i didn't know the some of the cards would be this expensive now. IF so...i would of invested in Magic Cards.

In particular...invest in any of the cards that Magic the Gathering say they will never reprint.

Exactly. I came into a Chains of Mephistopheles recently from a buddy of mine (he gave me his collection) and I was ECSTATIC when I saw its price haha.

I am really tempted to make a delver pike version of this.
A friend of mine posted an agro deck, but some of the cards might be helpful here.

Card Draw?
Isochron Scepter would increase your 2cmc instant usage.
unsummon, boomerang, dramatic rescue, vapor snag, cyclonic rift, echoing truth(s) could replace or be used in addition to disperse.
AEtherize could help against heavy creature decks that have answers to DoJ like effects. IE Boros Charm.
Supreme Verdict or WoG could replace DoJ.

KJSJ3 beat me to the punch here.
Almost card for card I agree as options. I would seriously look into some of the cards he suggested, magicmaster13.

Boy, how I do love me some bounce!

Isochron Scepter is $6, a bit too far out of my budget zone. Also, I have been looking at getting some vapor snags, and would definitely add them to this deck if I could get my hand on some. I'll have to look at making some other changes, but right now I have to go to school.

I like it as it is! I voted one up on it! Was just saying test around with some of the cards mentioned.

Good luck.

Challenge to you. Was just looking through old expansions...trying to find "pretty" cards for my wife. I stumbled upon Mirror Entity. Wow, what a great card with huge potential! It could blend in with "Tribal" (I hate that term) decks. I asked myself if it even seems like it should be a White card...regardless, what potential! Here is my challenge to you, make a mock deck Containing 4 copies of Mirror Entity.

Good luck.

That's too easy, just throw him in a weenie token deck and turn all your tokens into 5/5, 6/6, 7/7 creatures. Give em all trample and laugh as opponent scoops... That would be the cards most useful kind of deck in my mind at least.

Most likely...that what i was assuming. Or something like a myr or sliver deck. I just got excited because I had never seen the card before.

It is a pretty unique card, I'll give you that. Maybe combo it with door of destinies or something similar.

Check out this one, abcdefu96. Mirror Entity/Peer Pressure.

Gain control of all their creatures for 4 mana.

I think so!

Maybe a Raka deck? Throw in archetype of aggression and goblin war strike because why not?
