I wanted to see if I could make Thunderous Wrath work. I'm actually not on reddit much so my apologies to anyone if I'm just recreating the wheel. I did see the list on MTGGoldfish that was part of the Pauper Challenge and added my own twist to that. I also like the obvious idea of trying to utilize Firebrand and Alchemist. This deck is lots of fun, and forces me to think and play a little differently. While I'm happy to have made the Wrath work it does take 8 burn slots out of the mix. I have played it in a league once and went 1-4. It's close to 50/50 in the "just for fun" room of MTGO. I will try it in a paper tournament today. Don't know if this deck will ever have a competitive composition. An interesting card I tested was Spy Network. The ability to see a hand and manipulate the top of my library seems like it has potential. Missing a cantrip or shuffle effect is a downside. On MTGO the look at the top card of opponent's library wasn't working. What I've started doing is playing game 2 without the Firebrand-Alchemist theme. I have thought about starting without them and boarding them in. May try that today in paper. I also have a different sideboard in paper and will post that later. It depends on the opening hand. Can be a fast burn deck or a patient one. Also depends on opponent. Evolving Wilds into a Searing Blaze on their turn is fun. Portent to a Wrath on their turn is fun. Decks with life gain and instant speed removal, many decks, is tough.
