This is my first attempt at trying to explore the "detain" mechanic under Azorius. Detain is a complicated mechanic which seems to work well with Seance. Sphere of safety seems more at home in Azorius than Selesnya. Nevermore requires some understanding of the meta (or at least your opponent's deck) in order to get the most out of it. Some players may wish to simply use Arrest. I've verified that you can Seance a Fiend Hunter then target opponent's creature for exile (trigger), and respond with Rootborn Defenses copying the spirit token of Fiend Hunter which then enters the battlefield targetting the first Fiend Hunter token, exiling opponent's creature without the possibility of it returning when the first token Fiend Hunter is exiled. Preliminary playtesting shows this deck is a nail-biter and requires careful play and decision making. Far from finished, this is still very much a work in progress.
