Unfortunatly, Memnarch doesn't work as a general because his activated abilities do match his converted mana cost. So the rules don't work for him or Bosch Iron Glem. Sorry. Still, good deck anyway.
That used to be the case, but a recent revision to the rules stated that any mana symbol used in the creatures mana cost or activated abilities count, heres a link to some rules saying just that: http://mtgcommander.net/rules.php "A card's colour identity is its colour plus the colour of any mana symbols in the card's rules text."
