Deck Description

In the way Magic should be played, here is an example of circumventing the system to getting what you want. What you want are your retard-powerful creatures in play at a reduced cost.

Mimic Vat combined, Birthing Pod, and Clone Shell gives you the opportunity to deploy all your high cost beasties for free. It also puts out two at a time when your Mimic Vat has Clone Shell imprinted on it. When Mimic Vat activates and creates a Clone Shell, Clone Shell activates giving you the opportunity to exile a creature card which when Clone Shell goes to the graveyard is put into play. You must have Clone Shell die or this effect will not work. Birthing Pod requires a sacrificed creature to activate it's search for a creature with a mana cost equal to it's converted mana cost plus 1. Clone Shell costs 5, thus a 6 mana cost creature can be put into play from the sacrifice while killing Clone Shell and puting out another creature. Two for the price of one.

If waiting for all this to happen causes concern, I added my patented infinite mana combo, Pili-Pala and Grand Architect. Grand Architect allows you to tap an untapped blue creature to produce {2} mana and lets you turn a creature blue for a turn. Pili-Pala {2}{Q} add one mana of any color to your mana pool. For 1 blue you turn Pili-Pala blue then you can tap Pili-Pala for {2} mana which allows you to untap for the any color mana. Wash rinse and repeat for anything in your hand.

With your infinite mana in place, not only do you have the ability to put anything in play from your hand, but now you big beasties with {R}: +1/+0 damage is infinite as well...instant death. Have fun.

Deck discussion for Clone Vat Birthing Pod

I like the deck, the combos, and the way you can play it, but: you're playing extended, you could find so many more/better creatures to put in. just go on cardkingdom>advanced research>and adjust the mana cost you want. Coz seriously you could find, better creatures.

(I would): replace Geth, and Phyrexian Ingester, and take out skullclamps( since it's banned) and put blue sun's zenith( cos ya got lots of mana), take out 2 phyrexian obliterator, and 2 unwinding clock,

(some ideas): Butcher of Malakir,Consecrated Sphinx(amazing draw power to go with your infinite mana?no?), I think Arcanis isn't extended so you could replace him by the sphinx, Deathbringer Thoctar, Furyborn Hellkite, Wurmcoil Engine(*), Grave Titan, Hellkite Charger, Malfegor, Massacre Wurm, Mulldrifter, Rune-Scarred Demon(*), Sheoldred, Whispering One(*), Sphinx of Uthuun, Sutured Ghoul, Thraximundar.

SO yeah that was a bunch of creatures I think could be good in your deck and... all of what I said is applyable only if you want to modify your deck to extended, cuz then you play legacy and your deck is no longer competitive compared to legacy decks.

xD

I didn't know skullclamp was banned. Not sure taking out any Phyrexian Obliterator would be a good idea considering how awesome it would be to have him imprinted on Mimic Vat while the combos get in play.

I will say that I took little time looking for creatures which fit the mold, just threw in a bunch of 6 cost. As you can tell, Phyrexian Ingester isn't a 6 cost. Thanks for your help.

good god.
Chain clone shell to Mimic Vat. Sac him to Birthing Pod.
Profit.
I don't know what's more brilliant. The Clone Shell that has to die, netting you a creature, or the Pali-Pala infi to dump the hand.
I WANT THIS DECK SO BADLY!!!
