Enchantments (8)

Deck Description

This deck specializes in milling the opponents cards and then using the cards in their graveyard against them. Geth, lord of the vault steals their creatures/artifacts. Nothing sux more than having your main creature/artifact milled and then stolen =D. And if that doesn't kill them then they just run out of cards. "Stop hitting yourself, stop hitting yourself, why are you still hitting yourself?"

drop one geth in my opinion, his ability is only good if your opponent has artifacts

also you may wanna consider tomb scour

Geths ability works on artifacts OR creatures

still 9 creatures that cost 6+ to play is a little excessive
i would
-1 each legendary creature and +4 tomb scour

I agree. What would I put in replace of them? The deck is only at 59 cards with tome scour..

Sweet deck! Only issue with this deck and alot of other "mill" type decks is creature removal. you have nothing against the field until at least turn 6. scrib nibbler's is a turn 3 drop that does have lifegain(very tiny amount) but you're defenseless until turn 6. Sadly i'm out of the MTG loop so idk what would be good to throw in! maybe have just 1 Haunting echo's and add 2+ Plumeveil(as amny as possible!) OR adding 4 Damnation to wipe the field. creature removal is key when you don't have a strong defense and need to bide your time before you put the big nasties into play. other than that, looks annoying, which is saying alot!

you could use liliana's vess to get rid of your opponent's hand and her effect brings back all creatures from both graveyards under your control. seems like its worthy.

the only problem is that she cost 5 slowing down the deck even more:-p

you should look into mesmeric orb and dreamborn muse for this deck and you could throw in howling mine to fuel the muse:-p

also i think you should take out Szadek, Lord of Secrets, it just seems like you're trying to do to much with this deck.

Hi mcphattus,

Fun deck. I am thinking of making a Geth deck soon. That you added Szadek is over kill, but who ever said you should give your opponent a chance?

Still, I hate to say this but why not use painter's servant + grindstone combo?
It is so much simpler to mill opponent's whole library and only costs 4 mana.
Unless you like prolonging the pain. It must be fun abusing opponent with Geth and Szadek.
And shouldn't the deck really be called "They sit on their thrones and laugh"? ;-)

lol this deck is super annoying trust me.... i lost the top 40 cards of my deck by his turn 3 when i played him... the problem with his deck is that it has no defense until like turn 6 or 7 which seemingly should be solved by the mill but isnt.. painters servant+grindstone would be a good addition

I fixed that name issue =D I took out all my big creatures but Geth. They were good but I never used them.

I know it's kind of pricey...but why not Traumatize? Surely being able to put half their deck into the graveyard deserves at least a Sideboard mention.

And Memory Erosion...Defintiely seems like it deserves a sideboard shout as well.

As for defense, I don't know.
--Memory Plunder could be convenient (against certain decks), but costs 4 mana.
--Misinformation (though it's uses an anti-mill strategy) could buy you some time and it's only 1 mana. (Just put the most harmless cards you can find on the top of their deck.)
--Ashen Powder steals one of their dead creatures (w/out the activation cost of Geth...and w/out the
milling)

Just some thoughts. But I defintiely like the idea :)

what answers do you have for eldrazi? if you mill one over to the grave yard there trigger abbility will allow your opponent to shuffle there grave yard back into there library.

the only response that I can think of for Eldrazi is to sideboard in planar void, or leyline of the void. but eldrazi's are the classic bane of mill decks =(

Planar Void is an excellent choice because of how cheap it is, as is Nihil Spellbomb. Nihil Spellbomb has the advantage of being colorless (shouldn't really matter too much though), and can allow you to thin your deck if you have a spare black mana. It is just a one-shot exile, but it still works perfectly with Painter's/Stone. Also, there's always Stifle, but that wouldn't be good unless they only have say 1 or 2 graveyard-becomes-library Eldrazis...although it can't be disenchanted/destroyed like the other options!

It seems like you could make this deck Standard, if you want. E.g., grindclock could replace grindstone. Also, you have way too many mill cards. You don't need all of them, only enough to win the game. You're gonna have 3 or 4 sorceries in your hand and be a turn away from winning the game all the time.

I like the concept, but I think you need to simplify what you're going for.

You can win the game without play the blue deck
With just

Painter servant + Grindstone -.-

you may play a black / green deck and throw in some Tutors to find those cards in the maximum number

Begin the game and Mulligan until u get 1 of that two main cards and a Tutor
> win on the 4 th turn
If you lucky and can draw Painter servant + Grindstone on the openinghand
> win on 2nd turn :P
