Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

You have to be careful when playing this deck. It starts off pretty calmly, play a zubera or two, then turn 4or5 play Iname, Death Aspect to put all your zubera's in the graveyard and then the next turn bring them out with Patriarchs' Bidding and then sacrifice them all with Devouring Greed. The tutors are there to help make sure that you get the cards to make the combo work.

Oh wow, that is SICK. XD Kokusho is a bomb on his own, but he really wouldn't fit in here and, frankly, you don't need him. :D

You are only allowed one Demonic Tutor and only allowed one Vampiric Tutor. Illegal deck is illegal.

There is this thing called Casual play, Its where people play for fun with whatever cards they want, Maybe you've heard of it?...

...Guess not, you dont seem like the fun type

It doesn't matter if the deck is illegal... Cards are banned and restricted to make the game more balanced.

Options for them:
Imperial Seal(Only allowed one)
Cruel Tutor
Grim Tutor
Diabolic Tutor

I don't play casually anymore, because the casual players in my town couldn't stand up to me in Magic at all. Also, you don't play a deck that has the possibility of winning first turn, or regularly wins early game and, while calling yourself a casual player... Just seems to contradict itself, doesn't it?

Thanks on the compliment, I made the username when I was 10. When I was in middle school, I hated it, when I got into high school, I started to love it again.

However, I do like the deck, the only problem I see, is the current lack of legality in it's current list.

i love the idea of this deck. have you playtested it? can you consistently get the combo out? or do you sometimes stuck with no way to get to iname

This actually a really old deck which isn't actually put together anymore but yea this deck always goes off big time, its only risk is living the 4-5 turns it takes to blow!

You just gave me an idea...

It just reminded me of my own deck "http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=194632", which although less refined is a similar idea. Using devour on creatures with persist and junk.

I haven't thought this through really, but somehow persist could power this deck up even more?
Using "Cauldron Haze" or maybe even "Cauldron of Souls" would put your Zubera's back on the field after using them, however you probably don't need it as it's meant to be a one turn thing. And it doesn't really help you with speed issues. Just an idea.

hahaha thats not a bad idea actually the problem is that when this deck goes off it does a but load along with making the opponent discard their respective hands!

I'm with Try4se on this one, playing an illegal deck and calling it casual and fun is stupid. It's not casual to play what is concidered broken beyond compare by tournament rules. Lots of people seem to play illegal decks on this site and I don't see where you would draw the line as to what is legal for you and what is not. If you can play 4 demonic tutors can I play 8? both our decks will be illegal so where do you draw the line? Is it an anything goes system? Can I make up my own cards?

Games need rules in order to function and without them there is no point to playing. The raction to what Try4se stated is childish just like this deckbuild.

Who said we dont have rules? Casual play just means that you play for fun and follow the rules your playgroup(the people you play with) sets. using demonic tutor is allowed in our play group because it is not an amazing card, its great yes but not too good that one deck that has them is bound to beat a deck that doesnt. I personally dont care what you do in regards to magic, let the people you play with decided what can and cant be done when ya'll play. But dont try to tell my brother he cant play this deck just because you dont like certain cards that are in it.

I agree that rules are necessary, which is why casual has rules.

Demonic tutor is an amazing card. 2 mana for anything in your deck? There's a reason it's restricted. 2 mana to get the last card to complete a combo sounds VERY over powered. The casual people in my group can at least follow the rules.

Then don't make this deck and play it, don't play in our playgroup. Its really that simple. It works for us, we have our own rules, we don't play tournaments. You play your way we'll play ours =D Thx for the helpful advice though 8D

I totally agree with Try4se and Setherial on this one, because it's not hard at all to make a first turn win deck if there are no restrictions,

x20 Black Lotus
x20 Wheel of Fortune
x20 Lightning Bolts

There you have it. I personally don't give a damn about amazing decks if they ain't legal, because it requires no skill at all.

Demonic Tutor is not an amazing card? Wow man, just wow..

Agreed. It is severely overpowered. If the people that made the card game had to ban it in legacy, and restrict it in vintage, that has to ring bells in your head, even if you are new.
