Deck Description

The main idea with this deck is to get lots and lots of creatures out and overwhelm the opponent. Below is the logic behind all of my choices for the deck. I tried to keep the deck legal in Standard so that limitation drove some of the card choices (like Avacyn's Pilgrim rather than Birds of Paradise).

Doomed Traveler - Good one drop that can be sacrificed to Feed the Pack to get both a spirit creature and a 2/2
Avacyn's Pilgrim - Mana Ramp
Attended Knight - Three drop that comes with a token creature that can be populated later if needed
Gatecreeper Vine - Mana Ramp
Armada Wurm - A 5/5 that can be sacrificed to Feed the Pack that also leaves behind a 5/5 that can be populated.
Trostani, Selesnya's Voice - Seemed appropriate for the general theme of the deck but, more importantly the life gain will work well with all the creatures that would be coming into play and the populate ability will work with the deck as well.
Wayfaring Temple - This deck is going to have lots of creatures in it so the power/toughness of this guy should be pretty big. Adding Rancor to him will make him more effective at dealing combat damage to a player as well as Ajani's flying/doublestrike ability.
Feed the Pack - Lets me turn my creatures in to a number of other creatures that, in some cases, will be better than the original creature (Doomed Pilgrim for example).
Rancor - Trample damage for some of my cards that don't have trample.
Growing Ranks - Populate
Ajani, Caller of the Pride - All of Ajani's abilities work well with the theme of the deck.
Garruk, Primal Hunter - All of Garruk's abilities work well with the deck.
Call of the Conclave - Adds a token that can be populated. This one is seeming like a weak choice at the moment.
Selesnya Charm - Any of the three choices should work well with the deck.
Sundering Growth - A Disenchant with a free creature.

Deck discussion for Growing Population

Grove of the Guardian, Armada Wurm and Collective Blessing from RtR would all be pretty bonkers in this.

Parallel Lives seems like a must.

Since your strategy is based around killing your own creatures to get wolf tokens, you would probably like Kessig Cagebreakers which can be a pretty insane win condition.

Call of the Conclave is still a 3/3 for 2 mana which is above the curve so it's better than a lot of other options for such a deck. The only thing holding it back is the lack of proliferate IMO. Only 5 spells in the deck that proliferate seems low. You definitely would like the proliferate/indestructible since a board wipe would be deadly vs your deck.

Rancor is definitely a strong card but I think four may be excessive in this. You're building a swarm so global buffs would be better and only a few of your larger creatures will really "need" trample. I would cut it to two.

Worldspine Wurm is just too expensive IMO. It's technically on theme but it's overkill. You should be able to kill someone by the time you get to 11 mana with such a deck. Especially with no "real" ramp spells. Replacing it with something like Armada Wurm would bring in essentially an equally dangerous threat 5-8 turns earlier.

Do you have any of the selesnya shock lands? Those would be a huge help in the deck and would make Arbor elves more attractive than the Pilgrims.(although running both wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

Made some changes to the deck list (missed the cards you suggested in my searches). Collective Blessings works really well with what is happening in this deck, so Rancor was reduced to 1 copy (with Rogues Passage being added as well). Call of the Conclave is good, I just feel like I could find something better for 3 mana. I have adjusted the cards some so I don't have any really great creatures at the 3 spot so that one will work well for me.

Worldspine Wurm is probably way too expensive. I think that in this case I figured I would do that route instead since it would work pretty awesomely with Feed the Pack. Looking at it now, this deck is faster than I initially thought or intended it to be, so that is out and Armada Wurm is in.

Speaking of Feed the Pack, it wasn't really my intention to build the deck around that card, but it does work pretty well with some of the other cards I have going on. With the removal of The Worldspine Wurms, I cut one of them and used the space for one of the other enchantments.

As far as which cards I have... In this list I own a grand total of 16 cards (That is 6 Plains, 8 Forest, Rancor, and Wayfaring Temple). So it is honestly of no concern to me if I have the cards or not for this deck list. I just didn't have the desire to go find the best lands for it when I initially posted it (I tend to get a little lazy with my land selection since it is the last thing I do and at that point, I just want to be done).

I need to stop calling it proliferate... POPULATE.

I still think Grove of the Guardian would be insane in the deck... an 8/8 vigilant populate target gets out of hand very fast. Played a guy in the prerelease that got that off and the next turn was swinging at me with 3 8/8's... I chump blocked two of them and then the next turn I had like 5 coming at me.

Rogue's Passage seems questionable. It costs a lot to activate and you should technically be able to get more, bigger creatures than your opponent at a faster rate so you'll be getting through anyway. Rogue's Passage is more for a voltron strategy or EDH.

Intangled virtues if you are wanting tokens since it gives all tokens vigilance. I would get more rancor to get trample on your big guys like guardian and temple. Also could swap in more charms to either get trample on a creature our get a token out if you get a bad draw. I would personally drop growth and collective blessing. Also rootborn defense would be another way to populate and save from a destroy board wipe turning the game in you're favor. If you would I'd like to hear you're thoughts on my populate deck. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=400719

Intagible Virtues is a good call, that should help me keep people for defense and still apply pressure each turn. I also like Rootborn Defense a lot, that one went in for sure with Sundering Growth moving to the sideboard in case I run into Oblivion Rings or something along those lines.

Collective blessing can't really be removed. It does a few things for the deck:
1: It pumps all the creatures since this deck is more of a swarm deck than having large creatures (thus the one rancor)
2: The pumped creatures make it so that if I sacrifice something to Feed the pack, I'll get more tokens and those tokens will be larger because of the Collective Blessings.
