Deck Description

Technically not my deck, this is one of my boyfriend's EDH decks. I built about half of this on here before showing it to him, at which point it became the beefed up big brother of his version of Owling Mine. XD

Possible changes:
-Make Oona the General
-Add Avatar of Woe?
-Add Jace, Memory Adept (couldn't find it in the card search)

EDIT(S):
-Removed Nilith, added Nemesis of Reason (who should have been in there in the first place)

Deck discussion for Circu says NO! (EDH Mill)

playing Circu, Dimir Lobotomist in EDH is kind of pointless as the chances of him actually saying no are very small (it can happen in multiplayer but it's rare). Basically he is just a slow milling general. Using Oona, Queen of the Fae as your general would be far more powerful and you already have her in the deck so it's a small adjustment. She is way faster and better at milling opponents. I've destroyed many EDH decks with Oona.

I'll keep that in mind. The General wasn't my choice, but you're right, without more multi-colored cards, his effect is pretty slow. I was afraid that Oona would only see the field once since once she's dead, getting her back out is pretty costly. :/

Any comments on the rest of the deck?

It's not because you don't play enough multicolored cards that Circu is not effective, it's because it's a singleton format where his effect is mostly lost.
In the games I play I can play Oona all day long, I've milled people for 25 cards the same turn as casting her. Cabal Coffers + Urborg Tomb of Yawgmoth help a lot. Multiplayer games easily go for several hours for 1 game and you end up having 15 lands in front of you easily. At least that's the case where I play.
That said Oona is not my general, I play Sygg, River Cutthroat as general. I didn't suggest him because he requires some specific building but he is a very good general.

If you want more card specific advice post your deck on the forums (I'm Seth there). I like the forum better then this crappy comment system.

I hadn't even thought about Cabal Coffers + Urborg. That would make Black Sun's Zenith pretty nasty, too.

Good point about the comment system. XD I think I will be posting this and possibly my others to the forums.

Arcane Denial, Bitter Ordeal, New Liliana, Psychic Surgery?

Why the new Lili? I'll admit, she's amazing, but I'm twitchy about forcing myself to discard. A risk worth taking?

Looking at it... Serum Visions probably ought to be replaced with Preordain. Or, actually... there's my slot for Arcane Denial.
