Deck discussion for Lands End

You need to put Leyline of the void or rakdos charm in this deck. That would ensure your opponent doesn't get any benefit to Living End.

You can't use Rakdos Charm in Living End. It's mana cost is less than three. Also Faerie Macabre will do a good enough job taking card of the creatures in your opponents graveyard.

I'm not seeing the reason you can't play it just because it's a cmc2.

A game where you hard cast Living end for its actual suspend cost is a game gone horribly wrong. The Idea is to actually cascade into living end and cast if for free instantly with Violent Outburst or Demonic Dread. This tends to happen around turn three or four with hopefully at least nine power in your own graveyard as you do so. In order to insure that a living end is always the result of a cascade there is no CMC less than 3.

Thanks. It just seems to me that on game 2 and 3 once your opponent knows what your playing they would simply discard their biggest creatures into their graveyard for every turn till you living end. At least that's what I would do and if I were to play this I would want more then 2 cards in my deck that would answer that. Leyline of the void would be ideal for this and in that scenario cascading into Rakdos charm would probably not be so bad either, mind you not ideal.

Mind you that would just let you just play your creatures for the win. hmmm guess its something I need to play test a few dozen times.

I've seen lists of living end with Leyline of the Void, it is a good idea. I just choose to use my Macabre's and trade with what they have with my 3/4's. I personally don't like drawing into a Leyline of the Void midgame when I could get other things.

First they would have to have a way to get their creatures into the grave. Secondly by size and shear numbers of your cycled creature how could even there biggest creatures be a threat against 15-20 power on the board? You may not see it in this budget version(lacking Fulminator Mage) but Living End is a tempo deck that uses main board land destruction to keep your opponent off mana to cast their larger threats.
Lastly you can not put spells that cost less than 3 into the deck. When you cascade at the end of your opponents turn you want to hit Living End and attack for lethal on your turn. Not hit a Rakdos Charm. If you want to wipe a grave just use Jund Charm.
I have been playing this deck for nearly two years.
