Deck Description

I wanted to build a Green/Black deck that could do a lot of damage through either attacking, or through spells. I also wanted to incorporate destruction and sacrifice into it. I also decided to incorporate some life gaining into it. I'm slowly working on speeding the deck up, but it has been doing very well, against my friends; hasn't lost a game, yet. We stay pretty competitive.

How to Play

Obviously, there is a lot of mana ramping in this deck. I like to start off with things like Viridian Emissary and Yavimaya Elder, along with Primal Growth, to get this deck started. I then have creatures such as Mycoloth to devour creatures, and grow. As Mycoloth puts out his saprolings, I can then devour them with other creatures. I also have Bloodflow Connoisseur to wipe out the smaller creatures, and then Scavenger Drake, Lumberknot, and Bloodflow Connoisseur can grow. Corpsejack Menace can make this a very deadly combination. When I get Mikaeus, the Unhallowed out, they all get undying, so I can sacrifice them again. Basically, everything dies, and my creatures grow from it. I really like to play this deck in 2HG games. It is a great deck to team up with. Let me know what you guys think.

Deck discussion for Suicide Kings

Looks pretty good. . . is this budget?

Thanks, man. It's not necessarily budget; I just had a bunch of cards lying around, and thought I could string together some nasty combos. I bought a few extra cards like Mikaeus, the Unhollowed to top it off. I'm still trying to figure out how I can make it a little faster, without sacrificing early game cannon fodder.

That movie was great! I was trying to think of a name, and I thought it would be a very fitting name for this deck.

Nice! I also have a green black self destruct, and I like what I see in here! Gleancrawler is a good idea in here! Question though, why put in mikaeus? From what I see, a lot of the creatures you have in here will have +1/+1 counters on them already, negating his undying effect.

Thanks, man! There are a few reasons for Mikaeus. The first reason is the simplest; he's a target. He looks really scary, and people want to see him die. Second reason is for when I put out mana ramping cards like Viridian Emissary, Farhaven Elf and Yavimaya Elder. I can devour/sac them twice, to be able to strengthen my other creatures, as well as get land. Also, since Bloodflow Connoisseur can be brought out early, I can use her for sacrificing, then bring her back, and start adding counters. Mikaeus isn't the center of everything, but he opens up the game for me. Believe it or not, he's been a pretty big help, before. Thanks for commenting, man. I hope I cleared up your confusion.

Hm, I see now. Lol, I love it when my friends freak out when I get a scary looking creature and do everything in their power to kill it, giving me time to set up the real nightmare. By the way, sacking farhaven elf doesn't reactivate the effect. It says when it comes into play, not when it comes onto the battlefield. Still, good looking deck!

Sacking Farhaven Elf would work with Mikaeus, because it leaves the battlefield, then returns with a +1/+1 counter. Also, it does say "When Farhaven Elf enters the battlefield." Thanks for the input, dude. By the way, I was unaware of Putrefy until I saw your deck; looks like Murder is being replaced.

Eh? I just looked at it, and I swore it said when it comes into play. One of us is hallucinating sir. I'm not entirely sure which one it is though. (suspiciousness ensues). Anyways, yes, putrefy is amazing. Used to have 4 asphyxiate in there, but putrefy is much better. Lol, I remember one of my friends refused to duel against that deck because I used asphyxiate religiously and he hated it. When I replaced it I told him that I took it out, he agreed to duel once another friend confirmed that he couldn't find any in the deck. He was so pissed at putrefy, I laughed so hard when he realized what happened.

Haha. My friends and I do that stuff all the time. We always try to screw each other over, by changing our decks around.

Love the use of Mycoloth, Gleancrawler and Lumberknot together. Maybe try Ghoultree?

Thanks for the input, buddy. I would definitely add Ghoultree in here if I had planned on sacrificing much more than tokens. Sadly, Ghoultree's ability won't really work with tokens, since they cease to exist upon going to the graveyard. I have tried to find a way to make him really useful, but to no avail... especially with the awesome that is Doomgape!

you might consider Sideboarding Hardened Scales from KTK when it comes out.

That may be an option, especially mixed with Corpsejack Menace. Thanks.
