Deck Description

Based off of http://www.mtgvault.com/spiffmeister/decks/v-hydroar/

Originally a Hydra and Wolf deck but then got enough Hydras to take out the wolves. Added mana ramp cards and then some other one-off cards.

How to Play

Use the druid's for mana ramp (Elvish Mystic, Voyaging Satyr). Then it is to getting the Hydra's out. Use Solidarity of Heroes to double the heads on the hydras or Aspect of Hydra to beef one of them up temporarily.

Deck discussion for Forest Ruled by Hydras

Hm very nice, ànd Standard! I like your use of Crowned Ceratok and Solidarity of Heroes, smart thinking!
I was going to suggest swapping Voyaging Satyr for Arbor Elf and Slime Molding for Wurmcalling (since you can use buyback, which can be useful), but neither are Standard legal unfortunately. An extra fog or 2 would mind though, I think, especially since decks like these make you a high value target. For some reason, mana build-up makes you suspicious :D

Thanks for the suggestions. This is a rough draft for now so I will be making some changes when I get a chance.

I put some Druid's Deliverance in and the one game I have played with it I managed to win.

Do you think 25 lands are necessary for this deck? I generally just do 25 lands every deck, but I am wondering if that is not the best practice...

Nah, I think I use 24 or 23 or something. You can do with a few less methinks :-)
