This deck seeks to utilize your life total and cheap, renewable creatures to directly force your opponents to sacrifice their own creatures. While the deck was initially built more directly around Savra's sacrifice ability, the aid of Butcher of Malakir, Grave Pact, and Dictate of Erebos nullify much of her need, so altering the deck to fit a different Golgari Commander is simple enough.
This deck seeks to build up a steady presence on the board with mostly cheap utility creatures and tokens generated from sacrifice outlets. Gutter Grime, of all things, tends to be a reliable win condition when utilizing Grave Pact effects alongside some combination of cards, such as Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar. Forcing your opponent to sacrifice all of their blockers allows Gutter Grime tokens to grow large quickly and swing in unhindered. Alternatively, cards like Grave Titan and Sheoldred can easily take over a game on their own, so the deck is not limited to any one primary path to victory.
