had a blast playing this standard ilusion deck at the local FNM came 3rd =(.. stupid oponent win persentage thingy....... unfortunatly lost 2/1 to an awsome WUG vencer deck "Rubber band" SUGESTIONES GREATLY APRICIATED but i am not "not" removing the Turn to Frog there so much fun ------ EDIT: BIG personal thanks to all who hellped me put this deck togeather.. thanks for all the constructive critisism and the ocasional compliment and like that has made this deck and keep improoving and keep it coming GOAT OUT!! --------- EDIT2: WOW LIKE WOW!!!! this was second of the three decks i have poasted so far and i have recived soo MANNY GOOD SUGESTIONS..... but WOW this deck made the upcoming page.. nice deck but do you know that spellskite wont be able to save your illusions it sucks but its true.

I have yet to find a ruling stating Spellskites ability, which is an activated ability, wouldn't go on the stack. Please point me in the direction of this ruling I really would like to see it.
Yeah, gamer64 is right. So I'd remove the spellskites. Otherwise looks good.
i know that spellskite dosnt protect the ilusions but it dose protect Grand Architect, Wurmcoil Engine, and Lord of the Unreal as whell as a cool 0/4 wall. Will also stop some players casting some auras and pump spells... But i prob should change them out =( What should replace them... i do have a coupple of Adaptive Automation's? i think a batterskul would be two slow....Any sugestions

have you thought about putting mana leaks in? also I think that putting two preordains and taking out the jace's ingenuity would help with the curve
I'd throw in Negate to prevent board wipes. That seems to be the main weakness of an aggro deck like this.
yes your def right there i die alot to board wipes and non targiting spells like smallpox so i often end up side in mana leak... do you think Negate should replace them?
I'd also replace the Adaptive Automotons with Treasure Mage and perhaps replace the Dragons with a couple Steel Hellkite for more control.
iv tryed that one once but they are to slow without the arcitect and ther dont get pumped or protected being a u agro im not that woriedabout controling my opp to much but thanks for the advice :)
Buried Ruin might be a good add too, to bring back your Wurmcoils and Metamorphs.
Perhaps a 1-2 copies of Xenograft to protect your non-illusions when Lord of the Unreal is out.
IMO, -2 Jace's Ingenuity, +2 Tezzeret's Gambit. Gambit is so, so much better. I like the inclusion of Grand Architect. I hadn't even thought of his +1/+1 for blue aggro, and you've managed to fit a nice mix of artifacts that could capitalize on his mana ramp, but didn't go overboard on them. Kudos!
OMG thats it Tezzeret's Gambit..... cuts the mana curve down like i wanted its only one card less but its so much faster and i need fast draw and extra mana... the card i sooo over looked, i might just be getting over exited but what the hell. Im testing these babys out tonight at the local FNM :D and thanks for the kudos it means alot :)
Hmm... Personally I think that Tezzeret's Gumboots (as we like to call it :D) is a good card IF you make use of the proliferate... which you don't seem to do? IMO -2 Tezzerets Gumboots +2 Preordain - if you're going aggo it's nice because it's so cheap.
wow really got did get over excited with all respect Tezzeret's Gambit works well but not Great... i did end up side boarding it OUT moast games :( problem was not with the cost but with the fact its SORCERY and Jace's Ingenuity is an instant.In moast games I was trying to hold back spare mana for my counters against DOJ and other board sweeps, i really could have used the extra cards at the end of my oponents turn when i didnt need to counter...thats the advantage of being instant i supose.. being more expencive and slightly harder to castis the only downfall... Tezzeret's Gambit unfortunatly dosnt make the cut :( sorry SavageTheCabbage mightwork in your locall but not mine, thanks for the inspiration push aniways!!
To All folowing came 5th of 21 last FNM due to some critical misplays on my account and maby a misjudged maindeck choice or 2... but we learn from our misplays dont we :P MESAGE to ... ARCHAN ... ty for the hellp along the way and funny enough i did beat one oponent by coppying his "skittles" the blight dragon with metamorph, turning it into a 1/1 frog for two turns and then proliferated withTezzeret's Gambit and beat him with infect..... LOL Loads of laughs and one verry angry player (not me), But not a consistant use of proliferate Yes preordain works better in some instances but i need the 3 cards at instant. I run plenty of land and hardly mis land drops thanks to ponder/preordain, so feel i can aford Jace's Ingenuity THANKS THO
I do agree that Preordain is better. But I wouldn't drop Gambit for it. While it's still in standard, you might want to consider replacing 1 or 2 Ponder for Preordain. Once M11 drops, though, be prepared to run Ponder as you have it now, and I'd suggest then replacing Preordain with Visions of Beyond. Between your other instants and the inherent vulnerability of Illusions, it's not a far fetch to have 20 cards in your graveyard for huge late game card advantage, and if not, you just replace the card for {U} and thin your library a little.
And /actually/ come to think of it, I'd run Divination in place of Gambit. You can cast gambit for 3 and 2 life, and you get a proliferate. But since having something to proliferate depends entirely on Metamorph and what your opponent has, getting the card draw for just 3 would be better.

This looks like a hell of a fun deck to play. :) You have a good number of global pumping in there to make your illusions fast AND beefy, plus some decent control! I like it!
thanks heeps!! it is tons of fun thats why we play :) i find i dont really enjoy playing games these days without a bit of a laugh MTG is Suposed to be fun, for me its more about a good game played than a win under the bellt... too many players forgett ot have fun with it :(

Drop both Jace's Ingenuity (WAYYY too expensive) and 1 Ponder, and make Preordain 4 total. Preordain is seriously one of the best cards ever, and only having 1 in isn't really going to help you. Scryyyyy away!! If you feel like you REALLY want those Ingenuity(s), drop 2 Ponders and replace with 2 Preordains, if you want it to look more balanced. Honestly though, the first suggestion (4 Preordains) will seal the deal for you. Deck manipulation for card advantage is extremely important!!! It Might be best to throw some Phantom Warriors in, Not many people remember him, but he is an illusion and an unblockable one at that. With Adaptive Automaton and Lord of the Unreal you could have a pumped up 4/4 unblockable creature
This deck is built for standard, and Phantom Warrior standard is not. We do still have Aether Figment, however, who is unblockable and pumpable.

i think alot of people are really trying to make illusions work in standard. this seems to be the best deck ive seen out of all of them. congrats on making the front page, ill probably try to put this deck together in real life and see how well it does

because ive seen this deck im going to make a humble frog deck. 4 humbles 0/1 no abilities 4 turn to frog 1/1 no abilities im loving the white and blue fun decks, keep making em. maybe throw in some arrests and pacifisms. go ahead play a creature. maybe throw in some prodigal sorcerers or whatever the current "pinger" is. LOL creature lockdown!

Xenograft would protect you Lord of Unreal and also Wurmcoil as well as making it a bit stronger =D
peeps im proud that so many people have come over to the DARK SIDE and added wormcoils, and EVEN FROGS!! to there illusion decks.. lol just hapens that i met a old friend of mine at the local store who sore this awsome illusion deck online.. try out a venser the unblockable Infecter i made a deck the other night using him and some infect creatures with proliferate worked pretty good i'll post it when i figure out how to post a deck though it need's some tweaking.
Personally, I wouldn't mind using TTF if I was running Mimic Vat to steal the stuff I was killing :) thought about plugging that in? In my U/W deck, I do lawkeeper with livewire lash for some random direct damage to fight off the twin strategy.
What about some Swiftfoot Boots to protect someone like your lord of the unreal? just a thought though.

Im personally a bigger fan of ponder over divination, less mana cost, and you get to sort through and or shuffle. Id swap out the divinations for more of them sweet ponders
If you want combat tricks check out sleep, i like it instead of divination. check out some of my decks if you can
