This is a cheap fun(ish) casual deck for playing with friends that I made. It revolves around Pack Rat, Grey Merchant, Dark Ritual and the Black Enchantments like Underworld Connections and the all important Palace Siege. This deck has a chance against all styles of deck, apart from combo. The gatekeepers and typhoid rats provide removal, the Black enchantments lots of extra cards, and the Grey Merchant and the Palace Siege drain all their life. Side board is completely optional.
The aim is to dark ritual into either Gravestorm, or Underworld Connections on turn one, or Palace Siege on turn 3. Dark Ritual is the reason you can play the low land count, but only use it when casting permenents like Underworld connections. Do you know how had it is to deal with an early Palace Siege draining 2 life a turn, especially for control decks?After using your dark ritual, (or stalling with your cheap removal and creatures if you didn't get one) play your cheap creatures, discard the extra cards to pack rat, make more rats, drain their life with Grey Merchant with all your devotion! Use multiple copies of Palace Siege to recur your creatures, use them as removal, and discard late game redundant Dark rituals and Removal to Pack Rat.
