Deck Description

Another take on stax, this version came about when my last version had too much trouble against tarmagoyf and where I realized hymn and stalker werent really doing anything for me, as well as my lack of access to two colors most of the time. That and the raw power of crucible is just too hard to pass up.
This list aims to prison people with a combination of wastelock, smokestack lock, and destroying resources efficiently. The addition of smallpox is a wonderful add in, with no need for sinkhole you can cast this and have it act as one for you with some added discard (this deck doesnt care for a hand anyways) and edicts. One pox absolutely demolishes when youve been stacking people to death the entire game.

The biggest problem with this list is that it falls short against Esper Blade lists, they have so much draw power and standalone strong cards that this deck can't handle it all unless you get a very strong start.

Track Record
Shardless Bug: 2-0, even with an ancestrall visions out as long as they only have two lands they risk losing their suspended vision, the biggest threat to you is a resolved shardless agent so be sure to take out green or blue mana sources and keep that land destruction up.

Tendrils Storm: 2-1, sphere and chalice gut this deck hard, sideboard awnsers they have arnt ready for a stax list in this form. You can safely chalice for 1 and 2 shutting down the entire deck, a sphere and chalice at 1 is enough to make sure they arnt consistent, however you once again rely on your start. Sometimes you will shut them down hard, other times you wont get enough control out and they will ad naus all over your face.

Canadian Threshold: 3-3, this matchup is hard in that they have so many early threats and if they are smart they will start to dump creatures (to which our pox can only hand one at a time sadly) your control is nice but with this deck they can get enough resources out to not entirely care unless you have a tight control on, a crucible and wasteland is instant death to this list however, which is nice in that you can t2 auto win in some situations against this list.
