Deck discussion for Heart of the Dragon

4 Shamans, 4 Crucibles, 4 dragonlords, 3 or 4 more lands, less removal and more Seething song type mana ramp. Get rid of Moltensteel Dragon and Chandra. Then ur deck should look better.

With Removal do you mean, the burns, or as Saelon said the Ignorant Bliss, Flaring Pains, Stone rain and such? Thanks alot for the advice though I can see where I went wrong

I agree with Sora119. I have Rite of Flame and Mana Flare in mine.

I would question the use of the Flaring pains, the burn the impures and the ignorant blisses. The Burn the impures I would replace with lightning bolts or incinerates. I agree with Sorra119 that the deck needs more lands, but I don't think you really need any crucibles of fire since dragons are already big enough that I don't think you need to worry about it. I would rather use things like lightning greaves, loxodon warhammer, or swiftfoot boots.

keep the moltensteels cuz u can pump 'em with no mana. But i question the dragonlords as he is technically not a dragon.

Who cares? Its not like a dragon deck needs to have every single creature be a dragon. That would just be a bad way to make a deck.

yeah i no (dragonspeaker shaman isnt a dragon but still a staple, same with dragonmaster outcast, and neither r dragons) but the dragonlords are just sort of more power and dragons carry that anyway.

Saelon that isnt entirely true. minus kuldotha rebirth to give a small deffense, here is a mono red dragon deck that uses only dragons as the creatures.

no it doesnt use the bigger dragons but it also doesnt need them either. anything is possiable=]

try putting in cryptic gateway.... it will take out 2 creatures from the fight but will help the mana in your deck as well.....

Alright, thanks. Yea I've been think the Cruciable and the Ingnorant Bliss's will come out for mana, and seething songs then.

well it deff looks better and a lil faster. really the only way to make it a lil faster is to use draw spells. example being tezzeret's gambit.

ur welcome and looking at the deck again, if u wanted to add the gambits u could take out both the stone rains and punishing fires to add 3 gambits and another lightning bolt. just an idea.

Personally from experience, (I also run a dragon deck), I would get rid of the shamans, and use the pyretic ritual into a geosurge combo to throw out the dragons. Less removal, less variety of dragons you really only need 3 or 4 different ones, I run 4 different dragons in my deck. I love in my mono-red dragon deck, a turn 3 (or sooner) Taurean Mauler into a turn 4 Crucible of Fire...gets ridiculous.

I would say add in a Furyborn Hellkite (since you have a lot of flying, you should be able to get that bloodthirst easily) and then having a 12/12 flier will hurt. Also a I would suggest actually keeping in the crucibles. Yes, they aren't FULLY needed being a dragon high-power deck, but at the same time, if you're sitting there without anything to cast, since dragons cost as much as they do, and have it in your hand, a nice filler spell. And I would also suggest cutting out the Stone Rain. Unless they are running a high cost green deck, or multideck, it's not worth it. And I've found lately, that in straight-forward decks like this, keep your options limited to what it was started at. With this deck your control comes in your creatures. They either have to block, or die.

Also I would suggest taking Fury Charm off the sideboard so you get that trample bonus. Then they can't block your massive dragon with a tiny little flier, and have no worries. Helps control them more.
