Main Deck (65 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

This deck used to be based solely on Rampaging Baloths, but quickly formed into a much different being. This is one of my favorite decks to play with.

I plan on getting some Ob Nixilis's to round out the black side. I also really want to get some Lotus Cobras but they're so expensive. Also thinking about putting in some Plated Geopedes and/or Grazing Gladehearts for funzies.

Care to elaborate on this? :)

Terastodon might get taken out. Just been testing it out right now. I like that it gives me a way to deal with planeswalkers.

Jokulhaups is definitely staying and i'm planning on getting and putting a second in. It's saved my ass and won me games numerous times.

Search for Tomorrow for Cultivate though? Interesting. I really like Search for Tomorrow and how i can drop it turn 1. I've been thinking about using Cultivates or Kodama's Reach though.

Well, I hadn't really thought about Terastodon like that. It certainly has its uses but I think there's better options. Jokulhaups is good and all but in a land based deck with quite a few high-cost cards?? Just use DoJ as it's cheaper and keeps your lands so you can throw out a rampaging baloth the turn after.

Search for Tomorrow is good and all too but I like Cultivate as it puts a land in hand for when you need it for a landfall ability. Land in hand + Walking Atlas = Landfall abilities at instant speed.

Kodama's Reach is good...but only in a mono Green deck. It does the same exact thing as cultivate but you can look for different lands which can help a lot.

Actually, I think red should be taken out of here all together excluding a few dual lands so you can throw out Apocalypse Hydra. White is much better at landfall as you've got Ruin Ghost which is another thing that can give landfall abilities instant speed, it has DoJ which is better than Jokulhaups, and it's got Admonition Angel and Emeria Angel which are great landfall cards.

Honestly, like my deck description said, this deck used to be based on Rampaging Baloths with Pandemonium. I would produce a lot of tokens, and deal a lot of damage with Pandemonium. But i found out that i was holding onto Pandemonium more often then playing it, and when i did play it it hurt me more than my opponent. So i decided to get rid of it and just kept it G/R.

That's when Jokulhaups came in. I wanted to have a DoJ or something like it in my deck, but the closest i could get was Jokulhaups. And yeah, you would think that it would hurt me quite a bit, but i usually cast it with a Khalni Heart Expedition out or something to get my land back quicker. It's a minor inconvenience for me to have to build up my land, but even more so for my opponents who have to draw and wait for them.

Cultivate is definitely good. I might try it out sometime later to see how i like it. Though if it's the same EXACT thing as Kodama's Reach, how is one for mono green deck and the other isn't? Haha.

And yeah, i really like the landfall mechanic, and plan on getting more of the other colors to make other decks.

id ditch the nighthawks, terastodon, and the apocolypse hydra.
even though they're both good, they're irrelevant to the deck

if you're running black, you could add ob nixilis, and bloodghasts.
those two cards are nasty, lol.

if you want a way to deal with planeswalker, sideboard vampire hexmages. :3
but honnestly, i'd go explore over search for tomorrow. the card advantage is nice. :D

other than that, this deck seems fun :3
nice work

Nighthawks i think i'm going to keep in, just because they're that good. For now at least they will. Terastodon is actually out of the deck right now.

I have been planning on getting some Ob Nixilis's, but for some reason haven't thought of using some Bloodghasts. They're way too expensive though.

I have been thinking about using Explores. I took out two Search for Tomorrow's for two Kodama's Reach just to test them out. I'll probably do the same with Explores.

Thanks!
