Deck Description

R/G Werewolf balance aggro

I always wanted to play a werewolf character since 1994 when I first landed playing MTG .It took 19 years before my vision materialized ( erm wish come true) with Innistrad set.I went to put the pieces of puzzle together until I am able to balance out my Werewolves unit. Before this line up,my office colleagues would trash talk my Wolvepack (we have this lil office tournaments among friends who played MTG) .Months passed until October 2012 a fateful tournament was set. And from an underdog I rose to out-best all 15 opponents and emerged as the months champion. With the newer release of Gruul Color banner surely my wolves wll get enough boost from the red and green support cast. Enjoy!!!

How to Play

Its simple. Beat down trample is our main play. descendant path is another support card that can launch werewolf after werewolf without paying the mana cost.I like to callit the "free summon". I added 3 copies of Mayor of Avabruck and 3x Hunstmaster of the fells since most players tend to kill them anytime I summon them.Hanweir Watch keep is another support that can stall opponents since of his defender ability and later u can choose not to play a spell to transform him to a massive 5/5 attack all u can force. Mid game and opener Reckless Waif do good for a flipped 3/2 and Wolf-bitten captive proven a pain in back creature for most of my opponents, this card is a one to cast with a 1/1 pump to a 3/3 creature at ur will,my opponents always got forced to make a decision and take the 1/1 attack and if they would block Imma switch strategically to pump it with a +2/+2.I certainly feel good with Gatstaff which is a 2/2 creature that can either be buffed with Mayor of Avabruck or Immerwolf. And if he's goin solo mission this guy can transform to a 3/3 intimidate ( he is my mainplay switch with Garruk Relentless or Domri Rade)take care of the flying with my plummet or searing spear.or removed from play the likes of Grave crawler with pillars of flame.I also would like to highlight Scorned villager, tho a costly 2 to drop card that can provide a green mana this creature proves a better support than just another mana producer. She can add vigilance once flipped and additional 2 green mana.Hold up to her with the Fullmoons rise and a transformed mayor of Avrabuck plus a immerwolf and you gon' be brute and berserk.lastly I added 3x naturalize and or 3x gruul charm and or 2x clan defiance to either swap with plummet or balance out with searing spear. Domri Rade proves to be a good plane walker too, havent tried him tho and decided to put him in the board for time being. And of course I wanna prove this deck aint running good because of a plane walker! so far "I never use in any match the Garruk Relentless yet",time will say and once that call arise Garruk Relentless will come handy in the near future yet not at the moment.( I can add Bon fire of the damned too. switch it with devils play from my sb.)

Hi thanks trstn, great that you remind me of it.My original draft include 2x Kruin Outlaw. She is the sideboard switch I do a lot of times for day break ranger. I then removed her .Since of the gate crash release, the deck needs space for newer support card. I made my mind to rest her in the binder for this lil while to give way for gruul chant. Im getting concious with cards that steal opponents creature.I have this match with a friend that summon an Olivia Voldaren and danng he ripped me open and steal Kruin out Law and my Mayor of Avabruck. hahahahaha
