Deck Description

Its a fast paced deck that does not beat around the bush. Kill your opponent fast or stall them out using the high amount of discard and kill spells at your disposal within the deck. Basically its a red black value deck.

How to Play

Utilize the amount of hand destruction that you have open to you in order to get ahead early in the aggro match up or control match up so that you can slam down creatures and other spells without needing to fear of a counter or a blocker. The amount of cards that kill creatures in this deck is high so you don't necessarily need to worry about your opponent slamming their own creatures down. Creature wise the deck has what I'd like to think are just value creatures. Bob is in here because he is the only card advantage without a huge downside of losing cards which is the typical downside to card advantage in red. Even so I am considering faithless looting just because of how good it is as a one drop. Chandra's phoenix doesn't look like the best card for this deck, however a 2/2 haste flyer with the option of coming back later is hard to deal with unless it gets exiled. Essentially though with bolt and blightning that makes us have 10 copies of chandra's phoenix which is perfectly fine since we are just trying to get in with the most amount of damage we can. The rest of the creatures are just good for aggro decks and I feel is pretty self explanatory as to why they are in the main board. Sideboarding in this deck is interesting but straight forward. Use blood moon against tron and any decks that require a large amount of mana fixing. Harsh mentor is for combo decks which I think we may see a rise in due to ramunap excavator. Young pyromancer is for affinity match ups since he can gum up the board real quickly without giving them many outs. And the rest of the sideboard is just value. I understand that my knowledge of modern is very limited since I have not been able to play test at all in a while but due to my observation of the modern meta lately I think that a quick and efficient rakdos aggro deck with a lot of answers may be the best option for people who want to win. Like I said though my knowledge is very limited so I could be wrong, if this is the case please correct and help me understand why the choices I made were incorrect or misguided. Thank you!
