Deck Description

This is a hyper budget deck to serve as a first deck for a friend. He said he wanted a annoying stall deck and this is where I ended up. If some of the choices like kambal or doom blade look weird is because they are better in our playgroup. Suggestions welcome!

How to Play

Use lingering souls plus the wide range of removal to survive the early game. Then, when the coast is clear use one of the bigger cards to end the game. Timely reinforcement, fumigate and the fountain of renewal were all chose to offset the large amount of self damage.

Deck discussion for $30 Budget Control Modern

Have you considered mono white or blue/white prison with a secure the wastes/white sun's zenith win condition? Play 4x fumigate and a bunch of oblivion ring effects? Banishing light, cast out, stasis snare, and of course oblivion ring. If you want to splash a color I recommend blue for cloudblazer and court hussar. Your other creatures might include things like fiend hunter and/or banisher priest. Our big payoff for running so many enchantments is sphere of safety. And with white Sun's zenith we don't about our own fumigate. Gain more life and eventually get all the cats back? Yes please.
Just my thoughts on an "annoying stall deck".

I stayed away from the oblivion ring effects with the exception of seal away because most of them are either socercy speed, 3 mana, or too conditional for my liking. I felt like 2 mana removal was just better in most cases. Although I do like the sphere of safety plan, I felt like I needed to run ghostly prison for that card to be worth it and prison is a tad out of budget range. I also kinda feel like fiend hunter and friends are a bit too fragile unless there is a specific synergy with them. I do like the white suns zenith idea though, I will look into that, thanks for the suggestions!

Remarkable for being under 30$, that much I will give you. But I have severe doubts as to how it would hold up against anything unfair or combo-containing. That concern is why people tend to spend a 100$ at least for a budget deck.
You could however include some discard or Painful Quandary, or make a sideboard that is entirely just white hate cards akin to Rule of Law and Suppression Field.

Yes combo was one thing I was concerned about, probably need to find a spot for duress and stuff like it.
