Deck Description

My Naya Zoo deck. Lightly considering switching it to a 4c Tribal Zoo, but I like the aggression this one brings to the table.

How to Play

Play value dudes, turn them sideways. Profit.

Deck discussion for Naya Zoo

I would suggest Loam Lion (white variant of Kird Ape) or possibly Fleecemane Lion

I think that too many 2/3s will hurt the deck more than help it. I chose the Ape to keep most of my draws in the R/G range. I think Fleecemane might be worth looking into. thanks.

I think this is a cool build. The things I would change are removing 1-2 Ghor-Clan Rampager and changing some of the fetches. Arid Mesa grabs all 3 shocks to pump Nacatl. I also see there is no Loam Lion in this build. Interesting seeing that this is a zoo deck. I love Steppe Lynx because of the fetches and whatnot. Take a look at my build and see what you think?

thanks for the input. I think that Ghor Clan is important as a card that can push damage through on a stalled board, and as I stated above, I left out Loam Lion because I think too many Kird Apes is a bad plan, and lynx allows for super powerful starts. The fetches I have in there are the actual fetches I own. once my Mesas get here, they will be going in.

Okay, thats cool. Try to trade away some of the higher value fetches like Scalding Tarn and Misty Rainforest. They are bonkers in price right now, while Arid Mesa and Marsh Flats are still 39-42$. Also, I believe that having more smaller creatures will help. Swarming an opponent with this deck is awesome. Even better with a one of Kessig Wolf Run ;)

nah. i need to get my playsets done. no sense in trading one for another. I sold some standard stuff on ebay, so my mesas are in the mail. Ive been playing a long time, but was taking a break during both fetch sets....:-/

aaaah I see. Good idea selling all your standard stuff. This block is kinda blah imo.

I really like the grim lavamancers in the sideboard, with the fetches it can really do wonders either clearing out blockers or finishing off the clock. i have most the cards on here, seems like a great aggro, zoo is a solid deck

Thanks man. the SB needs an overhaul to match the current metagame, though. this deck hasnt seen play in a few months.

ya i saw that, but hey sideboards change every month, its the most complex and evolving part of a deck, its the make or break section

yeah. the main problem it has is that pretty much anything you bring in dilutes the strategy, so it makes sideboarding kind of tough. Boros Charm is a reasonable option, as well, because it pushes the aggro strategy while having the option to save your guys, so that may make it into the list at some point

boros charm is an awesome card, one of few that will survive the standard rotation
