Deck Description

Hello All,

This is my first deck that I am posting here. I am having a competition with a friend of mine. We are both going to build burn decks and see who comes out ahead. This is my first run at a burn deck so tell me what you think and make some suggestions for changes. We both agreed not to run vexing Devil due to cost Thanks!

How to Play

Changes out 1 Stromkirk Noble, 2 land, and 3 Stromblood Berserker for 2 Chandra Nalaar and 4 Guttersnipe

Deck discussion for Mono-Red Burn

could have some lava axes in there as if they stop u attacking ur not going to get very far so as they deal five damage it would help and koth instead of chandra as he makes mountains into creatures if u have time take a look at my deck plz http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=348136

I am not sure how volt charge (proliferate) helps in a deck like this. I wold suggest replacing it with something like browbeat or Burst Lightning. Also you consider running isochron specter.
if you have time could please take a look at my burn deck plz

Volt charge is great for pumping up shrines. you get 1 counter for upkeep, and one for the red spell, and finally one for the proliferate. if you get an early shrine out they can be devastating. I considered isochron, have you found it to be too clunky?

Sorry, I didnt realize with the shrine. Seems like a great idea early game. One worry is that it may get destroyed. Isochron can be clunky but it does come in handy every so often, especially when you dont have much burn spells in your hand or someone made me discard cards etc. That's why i have it in my sideboard.
