Deck Description

Do you want to play EDH? Don't you have an EDH deck? Do you think most of those ready-to-play-decks cost too much for your desires?
...Or do you just think you can't figure out a funny idea for your EDH deck?
NO MORE!
Budget EDH-series is meant for players that want to play EDH.
They are playable and their price is low! (Between 25 and 50 bucks.)

How to Play

"RAAAWRGH!!!"
Vorinclex's horde of beasts grows all the time.
While having double mana, your spellcasting is going to be easy. While your opponents can cast only with half the efficiency, heads are gonna roll.
Merciless, I would say.

Cast big beefy creatures that smash all out of your opponents while they wither with their mana problems.

Deck discussion for Budget EDH: Vorinclex's Hunger

I would say replace llnowar elves and elvish mystic with the "tap to untap target land" elves instead, who's names elude me at the moment.

I would use Omnath Locus of Mana as the general in this dek he is a fast way of getting mono green than Vorniclex and he can be brought back out after being killed faster and more times in a game.

As much as I look up to you and admire your work, I cannot hold my peace here.
Vorinclex is a mean and un-fun card in EDH. Almost as awful as Jin-Gitaxias. I believe Mikaeus the Unhallowed makes for a better EDH General on and extreme budget with fewer feelings hurt than this.
Also, I built your "Auras by Augustine" Budget EDH list from awhile back. It worked so well that I saw fit to spend money to de-budgetize it with mighty upgrades. It rocks now.

While I generally agree with you, I've realized one thing thanks to one of my friends consistently playing such cards: you need to find an answer to deal with the problem, or else you'll never get past it. Vorinclex is nasty by metagame when he's typically played, but there is a huge number of answers to the Big V problem, in multiple color formats. Untap abilities, for example, especially in Blue/Green (i.e. Prophet of Cruphix, Quest for Restoration), removal in Red/Black (one mana gets you a Vendetta, or in Red's case, a really cheap Blasphemous Act), or of course White's replies, such as Swords to Plowshares or Condemn. Of course, there's also the simple act of countering or turning Big V into a Big Tree (Lignify, Song of the Dryads). And of course, all these cards in their respective colors are utilized in multiple ways, but just happen to be effective in getting rid of Commanders with nasty habits for a little bit longer.
