Deck Description

Do you want to play EDH? Don't you have EDH deck? Do you think those ready-to-play-decks cost too much for your desires?
Or do you just think you can't figure out funny idea for your EDH?
NO MORE!
Budget EDH-series is meant for players that want to play EDH.
They are playable and their price is low! (Between 25 and 50 bucks.)

How to Play

Inspired by exodd1994.
This deck might be pretty poor, since it was EXTREMELY hard to create. I never thought that it was gonna be this hard. Maybe the most hardest theme I've ever tried to create deck about.
Use Zedruu's abilities to give your opponents cards that they don't need/want like some extra defenders, maybe couple of lands, auras that are already attached to permanents, and also cards that make their life even harder, like Rust Elemental, Bronze Bombshell and/or Illusions of Grandeur.

Deck discussion for Budget EDH: Zedruu's Kindness

Yeah...the same thing happened to me. Like, the cards I used were under $3 each I think, but somehow summing it all up lead to a mid price of 74!

You might want to add illusions of mediocrity.

Umm, Illusions of Grandeur?
It is already there...

I meant in addition. That would work just as well.

Northernwarlord. I would like you to make an edh deck whose commander is reaper king. But the entire deck is shenanigans. (Im thinking confusion in the ranks. Possibility storm. Perplexing chimera. Conjured currency. Clash cards. Coin toss cards. PURE CHAOS)

"Oh, it looks like we might be due for a big old storm of chaos! *evil laughter*"

But I would like to create "tryhard" version of Reaper King EDH rather than "shenanigan" version. I may create the shenanigan version later. Do you mind if I create the tryhard version now?

to many counters to little ramp. not giving anything backbreaking to opponents. whats the strategies with the walls just curious. to increase power i would get all the cheap low cost mana artifacts i could (up to like 15)

I dont understand the purpose of alot of the spells in this deck. explanation please.

Most of the spells are meant to control the situation on the battlefield, and numerous counterspells should be enough that your opponents can't remove your more important cards from play.
Small defenders do what small defenders do: they prevent early game damage.

Though I could modify it, since it is one twisted piece of manure. This has to be the worst EDH I've made yet, so I hope you understand.

no worries, its a skill that takes practice.

heres some tips.
1.envision the board state of your winning turn. what does it look like. whats spells were cast, what creature, enchantments, ect...If you cant see it then you dont have a deck really. so step one find the kill.
2. after determining your resources necessary to get your win con you want to find out two things. How can i make it more consistent (tutors, draw, multiple cards that do the same thing) and how can i make it faster (card draw, tutors, MANA acceleration)
3. after you know how you want to win and have the ramp/draw/tutors to make it work quickly and efficiently you need to slow the opponent down. this is the tricky part. because we all know the cards its knowing how many you need to put in your deck. too much and your not making progress to little and you'll never see it. i dont have this figured out to be honest. also what kind of removal. are you multiplayer. or 1v1 are you combo or aggro. are you fast or slow. how competetive are you building.

what i have figured out so far is that counters are used incorrectly. counters are used to delay your opponents win not stop what they are doing. the sometimes look the same but the effect of countering the right spells is needed.

my first deck is zedruu. at first ive built around him but ive realized zedruu takes ALOT of effort to donate permanents and now im only using zedruu for its colours and donate random stuff like Detention Sphere, Smoke, O-Ring.

My Zedruu donates enchantments too, though most of them are auras...

Hey I'm just getting into EDH and I really like Zedruu, but is there any updated version of this deck? Also wouldn't Puca's Mischief be a good card?
