Deck Description

Friday Budget -series (earlier known as 50 Budget) takes the budget-playing into the next stage. Using cards to build decks with under 50 buck mid-value, Friday Budget -series tries to help you build new decks and use new ideas.
If there is any deck you would like to see as Friday Budget, please, let me know.

How to Play

Inspired by StevieGoblinlife.
I'm so sorry Stevie that this took me so long to finish. I had to wait 'till Friday, you know?
So, this red-white aggro tries to overwhelm your opponents with cards that give you life. This might sound a little slow and non-aggressive, but it is aggressive. Trust me.

Deck discussion for Friday Budget: Archangel

Nyx Fleece over Ajani's mantra? Some pacifisms or arrests over firemane avenger and cradle of vitality?
Nyx fleece does what mantra does and gives you a 0/5 blocker. Firemane Avenger is a turn 4 at best, and at turn 4 I feel you should be playing things like Faithmender or well of lost dreams, so throwing in some additional lockdown control over Firemane seems better.

Ah yes! Life gain turned weapon! Love the deck. Bit of nostalgia running through this, reminding me of my war horseman deck!

Okay, I realize that you're very close, but in case the price goes down with some rearrangement on your part later on, Battlefield Forge over Boros Guildgate.

Interesting...how does the searing meditation work for you? Also, with the high number of enchantments I would consider at least one if not two sphere of safety.

Hi, Northern. It's been a while but I see a few things, if you take out archangle of thune you will cut the cost of the deck in half. litterally. Also Ajani's Mantra may really be a good choise here. Hope it helps.

Nyx-Fleece Ram > Ajani's Mantra. No reason to play mantra at all. Heck the ram is evn an enchantment to boot.

If he did cut the Archangel and a couple of other cards (not sure whats the optimal pick) he could play Lightening Helix. Seems pretty sweet...

No. The angel will stay. StevieGoblinlife wanted me to create deck around her, so there she stands.

Still, I'd personally have made it Orzhova if you were basing it around her but this deck seems more than decent too.

to zach: the reason i'd run mantra is that it's not a creature. it doesn't die to boardwipes so people have to side in their enchantment removal (which would also kill ram), forcing them to get rid of things they actually want to play to make THEIR deck work optimally.

That is true, but most decks don't run boardwipes. For the ones that do, you would use your sideboard to swap things around for the next match.

IMO, if they wrath to get rid of sheep, you're probably winning anyways.

You should try to build one around doubling season, if you haven't already.
