I decided to make a deck to show how broken jeskai ascendancy is, and then also add the purphuros+retraction helix combo.
Play retraction helix on any creature, and then have jeskai ascendancy and one of the X mana artifacts out. Then tap the creature to return the artifact to your hand and then play the artifact for no mana and it triggers jeskai ascendancy which untaps your creature AND gives it +1+1 until end of turn so then bounce the artifact again, and so on and so forth until the creature is powerful enough to finish the game off.OR use the rummage feature on the jeskai ascendancy to go trough your library until you hit the altar of the brood, which you play and then continue to do the combo until you mill your opponent out. OR, you can do the purphuros combo. So, start out with midnight guard, purphuros, and an ornithopter. Play retraction helix on midnight guard, and return ornithopter to your hand. Then, play it again, and it deals 2 damage to each opponent and untaps midnight guard. Then, repeat the process until your opponents are dead.
