Hero's downfall, mogis, garruk and stoke the flames are for dealing with your opponent's creatures, or your opponents themselves. Monastery swiftspear and rakshasa deathdealer are for early game. Xenagos is for making your creatures bigger, and genesis hydra is for late game. Stormbreath dragon is for crushing your opponents, and Nissa is for ramp and turning your lands into 4/4s
