Deck Description

One of the very first magic cards I picked up. I saw the potential back then and made my 1st deck around it.

Attempting to make a new deck around Lobotomy that focuses removing the opponents whole deck from the game. The deck is a little slow at the moment. The side board cards deal with creatures and add more counter-spells.

Thinking about Doomsday for a setup for Haunting Echoes or Sins of the Past.

Any thoughts?

Deck discussion for B/U - Lobotomy

You're running a bit high on CMC 4 spells. I would suggest cutting back to only the essentials and running some more traditional mill / discard cards to work your way into Haunting Echoes. IMO, you can cut back on a few of them to run more CMC 1-2 mill / discard.

Look into cards like Grindclock, Tome Scour, Hedron Crab, Memory Erosion, Memory Sluice, Chains of Mephistopheles, Brain Freeze... etc.

I like the deck, btw. Circu is a SICK card!

Good suggestion, I toned down the mana cost some and changed out a few things.

I added Nemesis of Reason since he fits the deck. Looking at the mana acceleration i went with Dimir Signet. The Jets would not be useful now with the more expensive black cards removed.

More creature control might be good, maybe mutilate or damnation. Looks cool though for sure.

Damnation is sweet, never new it existed. Not as familiar with all the new cards. I could switch out NO Mercy for it. Probably be better to clear the board than just have that enchantment out.

Thoughts?
