Deck Description

I built this deck because I wanted a mono-red deck (so I could zap things with red spells) and I had an unhealthy fixation with token decks. This killed two birds with one stone. Out of the 8 or 9 decks I play casually with my friends (adhering to Vintage rules) this is (in my opinion) the weakest, but it holds a very special place in my heart (and to be fair much of its play time occurred before I made some much needed changes in the deck, such as adding more mana and adding Lightning Bolt) . It has some major weaknesses, but I did my best (without changing the theme of the deck) to combat the one threat that was most prominent in my group of friends, flying.

Deck discussion for Goblins Unite!

Roast is a lot better than Bathe in Dragonfire, even though it can only target non-flying. And anyways, you have Aether membrane to deal with flying things.

Awesome! You are very much correct. I had never seen this card before, but now I love it. Thanks!

So I want to add 4 Roast to the deck, and I'm going to remove the 2 Bathe in Dragonfire, but I'm debating what other cards I should remove to make room. I was thinking of removing the 2 Goblin War Strike because while they are a cheap way to deal direct damage to the other player, Roast would offer much more defensive ability while still being offensive. I can kill creatures my opponent has that are either in my way, threatening me, or both. I also consistently run into the issue of, how many goblins is enough goblins to justify using one of my two Goblin War Strike, so more often than not I tend to sit on them. What do you think?

Maybe take out one Goblin War strike, and one Krenko's Command? I'm not really sure, because I am anything but a pro for Mtg. I just happened to see Roast, and thought it was better than dragonfire.
