No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Controlly stealy.

I must give credit to http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=398117, which is the deck which gave me the idea for this.

Deck starts slowly, but aims for board wipe fairly early on using supreme verdict/planar cleansing.
After wiping the board, plays traitorous blood/mark of mutiny/zealous conscripts to steal a creature. Then use cloudshift/ghostly flicker/conjurer's closet to flicker the creature, and retain control permanently.

Please let me know your thoughts on this build. Comments are much appreciated!

Deck discussion for Standard Control URW

Love it! I've been thinking about something like this for some time, nice to see someone come up with how to do it :)

Like what you've done with my idea, ill definately be adding the conjurer's closet, even at 5 cost it makes end game creature snags deadly on your opponent, Still not much of a fan of the verdict here though, I like my terminus instead, since the main point is taking their creatures from them even if it is late game, Terminus gives them a chance to replay the creatures later on for me to take again where Verdict doesn't usually lol.

The only problem I felt with terminus was that it returns creatures to owners hand... So if you've taken 1 or 2 creatures, then they get something big out which warrants a wipe, the terminus gives them back their other creatures.

I think I will add to the sideboard a couple of entreat the angels, and a load of disruption for playing non-creature decks.

Thinking about adding 2 deadeye navigator to this build. The combo of zealous conscripts + deadeye navigator + conjurer's closet allows the taking of 1 creature per turn permanently for 2 mana. Adding extra closets essentially ups the number of creatures which can be taken per turn.

So if I have 8 mana, 1 deadeye, 1 zealous conscripts and 4 closets, then I can take 4 of the opponents creatures per turn EVERY TURN. Its just about getting to that point. I'll restructure the deck somewhat to enable this, and take out some of the single flicker stuff.

Terminus puts creatures on the field on the bottom of their owner's library, not to hand.

ahh, k. Getting mixed up with devastation tide - thanks for the correction. Think I will replace Planar Cleansing with Terminus in that case.

^ ^ ^ Cyclonic Rift puts them back in their hand, Terminus is miracle W , put all creatures on the bottom of their owners library like Helios said, and the entire deck is wrapped around them even playing creatures to begin with which Is why I run a decent amount of my own creatures in mine like Ash Zealots and Resto Angels, I saw alot of decks at the grand prix to goto Chicago last weekened playing U/W control with Angel of Serenity and Entreat being their ONLY creatures they did pretty well too, and well you cant bounce back an angel token lol (i did place 2nd though with my R/U Guttersnipe Control deck its nasty, when you have curiosity on a guttersnipe rewind a spell they cast, shock them 2+ and untap your lands, then empty your hand the end of their turn for 10+ and draw a new hand basically, it annoyed alot of people lol)

Yeah, this deck would get screwed playing anything other than a creature deck. I've got a GWU deck that I think would perform much better against creature decks. Can check it here if u like:
