Deck Description

** - Thanks for the help guys
Added Dawn treader elk in place of the Border land ranger
Switched out the gates for the overgrown tombs
**
V-2: Took out the rancor, they did seem a little out of place, i might want to switch out for an overwhelming stampede, or something of the sort.
As of right now i replaced rancor and Diabolic revelations for sign in blood, what do you guys think?
**
- Still a little hesitant on the parallel lives * It feels like a win more, than an actual necessity.

Really like pack rat and was thinking of building a deck around it.
The combo revolves around Pack rat and Veil Born Ghoul, where as long as i have both, I should have a consistent discard engine for more and more pack rats.

Dawn treader elk, Seek the Horizon, and Liliana of the Dark Realms keep the combo going. As long as I have a swamp in hand, I have something to discard.

Diabolic Revelation keeps the deck working late game, If i manage to search out all my Veil born ghoul, i now have 4 discards for every 1 swamp, which at this point i should have enough mana to discard 2-4 times a turn.

The rest are just to help the deck deal with various situations. Any help would be great, as I'm sure there is room for improvement.

Aside from Liliana which im sure can be substituted, the deck is pretty inexpensive

I would think about trying to get Overgrown Tombs. Yeah, I know that they're a ton more expensive, but since they count as Swamps, they're much more useful to you than the Guild Gates. Also, Gatecreeper Vine might be a better choice than Borderland Ranger. Same effect for one mana less, however, you do lose out on the 2 Power. Dawntreader Elk is also another very viable option for an instant speed land grab that works very nicely in a deck like this.

I really liked the Dawn treader elk idea. Give me a couple more options and quick responses to any graveyard hate against my Veil borns.

Underworld connections a sign in blood let you keep drawing both are better then diabolic revelation espically for what your Doing where veil born ghoul is really just helpful not nessecary

I actually don't think this deck could work without the veil born :/ unless i no longer make it Pack Rats. I would rather have a reoccurring creature to discard then discarding something useful for a pack rat. You are probably right on the sign in blood and under world connections

It works if you draw enough was my point veil born is very helpful but you can discard anything and it'll work also rancor? I don't see it you don't have one big pack rat that needs trample
