Deck Description

From first card drawn to last bell ring
Wouldn't it be nice
If they learned to sing
A different tune or use a different device
Instead they play the same old thing,
And we are left to pay the price.

The main win condition for this deck is Stolen Goods. Given that the results for Stolen goods are never predictable, using the deck is a risk in and of itself.

Secondary win con comes via the Guttersnipes and the large number of instant and sorcery spells within the deck, and the difficulty an opponent will have resolving spells.

Sideboard has been crafted around Aggro decks, with the Hypersonic Dragons there for a little extra punch when needed.

I build decks that are fun for me to play, and that center around cards that wouldn't normally make an appearance in my local FNM. If you think the concept is stupid, that's fine, but please keep any comments constructive.

Deck discussion for Counterintuitive Gamble

Second Sight and Tanghart's Glare could make Stolen Goods a bit more reliable.

The problem is that those cards aren't in standard. This deck is for use at my FNM.

I get bored with everyone playing the same decks. For a while, 1 in 3 decks was Delver. The 2 weeks after Ravnica release, it was Green/Black Zombies.

I find it really boring when everyone plays the same deck, so I go out and build decks that are different. I've run standard decks using Door to Nothingness, Omniscience, Worldfire, basically, if someone declares a card unplayable in Standard, I will do my best to make a standard deck around it.

A lot of these decks would function a lot better with cards brought in from other formats, but that removes the challenge for myself, and makes the deck illegal for the format I wish to play it in.

I understand. Sorry I couldn't help, but for a standard deck there's really nothing much you can do.

And I completely agree, original decks are what keeps Magic alive. I myself try to experiment a lot as well. But on the other hand, if the stakes are high, like if you're playing on a tournament or something, you might want to go for effectiveness, if you know what I mean,

I like your originality and I hope you keep experimenting like this. :)

Thanks for the encouragement. I will certainly continue to experiment.

A card that was just recently pointed out to me as unplayable is Descent into Madness. In the next week or 2 I will hopefully have a deck up that centers around that card.

I agree that for a tourney a serious deck would go far better, I certainly wouldn't dream of playing this in anything more competitive than a FNM.
