I had attempted a deck like this in the past. I think this is a much better constructed build than my last attempt. If the right cards are in play, you can lock your opponent down from playing anything for the rest of the game, and in the mean time, slowly sap their life away with Maralen.

Nice idea, but I do not quite get it. Maybe I am just not seeing something, but wouldn't Maralen of the Mornsong kill you if you have been dealt any damage before you set everything up? If what I saw is true, you could always drop some cards for Chronatog to make the life leaching work. I wish you good luck on your deck.

That is what mindlock orb is for, skips your draw step so maralen wont count for you
