How to Play

1) Make Boros Reckoner indestructible
2) Then give him lifelink
3) Then deal any amount of damage to him, he triggers to deal that much damage to target creature or player.
4) Target himself, he deals X damage to himself and you gain X life (from lifelink), triggering his ability to deal X damage to any target. Target himself.
5) Repeat and repeat = infinity lifelink
6) For infinity damage you must activate second ability of Vizkopa Guildmage

Deck discussion for Standart: Boros Infinity Combo

Would maybe add Sanguine Bond as another combo enabler instead of relying on just the guildmage. Like the idea :)

Since the deck is based around the effects.... I would run 3 sanguine bond, 3 whip of erebos and 3 indestructibility. Make it more interesting.... Anger of the gods!!!!

Vizkopa Guildmage isn't needed because you can just gain infinite life and your opponent will concede.

Isnt it though? Everytime someone pulls this at fnm i just chain the reckoner and then our match goes to a draw after we just keep top decking and removing each others crap for the remaining half hour. Never have conceded to an infinite life combo, never lost either. Sanguine is good, makes it so you actually win games instead of timing out.

I agree with Bsaf, in modern people never scoop to melira pod because they CAN deal with it! You can beat infinite life, just a bit hard!

Haha that was exactly what i was thinking of, you can sac kitchen finks as much as you want but without murderous redcap it aint gonna do anything for winning the game, just takes you out of range of death by damage unless you see a malignus with trample lol. First and last time that happened was innistrad

not the last time that's going to happen. Master of Cruelties says hello. Oh and btw if they said their life total was a trillion, it would take you 40 turns to win with Malignus. Master is much more efficient, and in standard too!

Offering and slaughtergames would be sideboard cards I suggest, Maybe Auralia instead?

I really like the concept, and hey, if you don't get the lifelink, you can just keep a cycle of damage going until your opponent scoops.

A draw is better (barely) than losing. They shouldn't scoop.

Wonder how consistent and successful this would be in FNM?

It's a nice build for this kind of stuff. I'd recommend SB the Solemn Offering because not everyone will be using Artifacts and Enchantments, and even if they were running gods, they're indestructible.

what about swaping angelic wall for the gaurds. its cheaper and has flying. yes it wont kill anything and it doesnt have extort. but having a turn 2 4 toughness creature aint bad and it doesnt take from playing reckoner.
love the deck ive seen the both strategies of this deck seperately buth never together and i think it is awesome.
