Deck Description

This deck is strongly influenced by the guys from SBMTG (check them out on youtube ;) )... Therefore, the combo itself, is not a combo I came up with, but a combo that I've explored and developed a bit further.

The deck evolves around just a few pieces; Zephyr Scribe , Elusive Spellfist , Retraction Helix and Altar of the Brood .As you might have figured out the idea is, that there are two main win-conditions here; Either, Elusive Spellfist generates infinite damge and can't be blocked - happening (potentially) on turn 4, or we mill our opponents deck with Altar of the Brood. But aren't we missing a piece? The piece that we will bounce back and forth with the retraction helix? Yes we are! Spidersilk Net , Briber's Purse or Tormod's Crypt bascially any permanent with a cmc of zero will do!

The idea is, to cast the Retraction Helix targeting the Zephyr Scribe returning the Spidersilk Net. Then casting the Spidersilk Net - untapping Zephyr Scribe, adding +1/+1 and unblockable to Elusive Spellfist if we have that on the board, or milling for 1 with Altar of the Brood. This deck is seriously budget, costing around 8, but would really be improved by adding jeskai ascendancy and some serum visions. Unfortunately, that is to expensive in regards to mana-base, so I kept it in monoblue.

The rest of our cards are either cards that helps us to stay alive until we find the combo, or cards that helps us set off our combo and dig the cards out of our libraries.

This deck is so much fun - most of the cards are 'common' - except Altar of the Brood (rare) and Tormod's Crypt (uncommon) and Briber's Purse (uncommon). This is why I've chosen to stay with the Spidersilk Net - to keep prices at an absolute minimum... Still, with 4 rares in this deck, it is ridiculously cheap.
