The Ashnods are not modern legal, sadly however the Krark-Clan is. That will slow the combo down but still enable it. On T6?

Also, I understand Harsh Scrutiny may not be as popular or as Strong as Thoughtseize or Despise it is in main for the early game creature (if any and suitable Scry).
Is the life gain from Blood Artist / Zulaport Cutthroat important? Because Disciple of the Vault does the life loss while only costing {B}.Also, Golgari Signet can help get KCI out a turn earlier and can be sacrificed to KCI.
T1: land, Elves of Deep Shadow / Birds of Paradise T2: land, Golgari Signet, Durable Handicraft T3: land, KCI, Module T4: Disciple of the Vault / Zulaport Cutthroat / Blood Artist to combo (can sacrifice Signet to KCI to help).
