So I must ask: What's the usefulness of Geosurge? If you spend four red mana on seven red mana (a net of 3), why not just use your mana directly? I feel there must be a use for it, but I can't see it.

I think it might have something to do with being able to play a CMC 7 dragon on turn four?
You could drop few of your high cost dragons for some cheap morphling (which count as a dragon), they could work well early game with Crucible of Fire...
well really i would drop furryborn and two headed for some seething song and manamorphose. those 2 cards alone will make the deck run alot faster.http://cardgametalk.wordpress.com/
Ah, I see. Apparently I'm bad at maths.
Now that I've gotten over my issue with basic integers, I really like this deck. I wish I could make something like it at what I'd consider a budget level.
