Pretty straight forward deck and pretty cheap, it's only 15-20 dlls! This is still a budget deck and it is best suited for casual FNM games and such.Heroic Aggro, usual problems with this type of decks is the lack of draw in them, the moment you drop your hand and you are top decking, your clock to win is over. This provides tons of draw with Ordeal of Thassa and Triton Fortune Hunter making the aggresion more consistent over time.The new Hero of Iroas makes Ordeals very cost worthy and they activate pretty fast. Meanwhile Ephara's Enlightment is an amazing aura to trigger Heroic as you can re cast it, and gives you amazing evasion.
Turn 1 - Land (Guildgate/Scry Land/Shock Land pref as you have no 1 CMC drops)Turn 2 - Battlewise Hoplite/Hero of Iroas/Phalanx LeaderTurn 3 - Any Ordeal + Gods Willing/Triton Defense = 5/5 attacking with Ordeal EffectTurn 4 - You get the point...The main reasoning behind the turn 3 Ordeal + Gods Willing is because most players will save their burn spells until your creature is actually a threat (ie. Ordeal on turn 3) that is the moment you protect your creature from removal netting you a 5/5 with protection (or +0/+3 essentially countering burn spells) and the Ordeal effect.Of course the combinations are endless. If you drop a Hero of Iroas on turn 2 you might be able to put up to 3 Ordeals on him on turn 3 (not a likely scenario), making him a 8/8 attacking and win 30 lives or draw 6 cards or any combination of that. Of course 2 Ordeals work too, and maybe a protection like Gods Willing or Triton Defense.Triton Fortune Hunter and Ephara's Enlightment let you continue playing by giving you draws or to keep triggering Heroics for as low as WU. Flying is an amazing added ability to the deck.Usually if you don't expect too much burn spells fast, you can drop Gods Willing and put in Azorius Charm to put that Hydra/Dragon/Huge Mounstrous Thingy attacking you on top of their owner's library, or maybe to give you a lot of life gain on an attack. Sometimes you just want to cycle it to thin your deck faster and get an heroic trigger (specially if you scry'd that turn).
