Deck Description

This is very much a work in progress still, and is not a deck I would ever actually buy, because it's cost prohibitive. All the eventide lands are SUPPOSED to be the foil ones from oath of the gatewatch, making this a standard legal deck, but it didn't bring them up in the card search. Also couldn't find wastes, but I may or may not put those in, anyway. For a less cost-prohibitive version you could probably easily remove both Jace and not notice any real difference. The deck is all about getting your 4 hedron alignments in the right places. Transgress the mind and void shatter can(and SHOULD, if necessary) be cast on yourself. Ideally you'd block the cast of a salvage drone, but late game you should be able to block more expensive cards, too. Don't fear doing this, you want to activate your win condition ASAP. Fathom kills off any creature(and big creatures especially, if you haven't dropped an aligned hedron network yet), tokens and drones chump block their weenies and help you out when they die, and can be sacked to merciless resolve for double effect. 8 counter spells keep mid-range creatures off the deck, and blow away burn spells, keeping you alive while you draw for that win condition. matter reshaper is great because it can put a hedron alignment in either your hand or the battlefield, although admittedly those are the two easiest conditions to satisfy anyway. You'll have to discard your third copy since they're hexproof, but luckily you have plenty of stuff that makes you discard. Transgress and void shatter are your only ways to exile the 4th copy, but it's also possible an opponent might help you out by exiling the card with a mill deck or a colorless deck or some other shenanigans. Anyway hope you like and it seems fun/different. Any tips appreciated, but consider that I'd like to keep it standard legal and cost effective(if you take out the jace copies, that is...)

How to Play

Also, I know lands are probably a bit low at 18, i'll probably try to hit 20 or 21, I just need to jiggle around numbers some more.

Deck discussion for Hey Ron, It's an Alignment!

Expedition lands (ex: foil Eventide lands) aren't standard legal unless they are in a standard legal set. Zendikar Expeditions aren't from BFZ or OGW, rather, they were released with the sets. This means your deck ain't standard legal.

so it's released with the set and has the symbol from that set...but isn't from that set? that's not logical, at all. that literally makes no sense...i mean okay, whatever, but that's dumb. so i guess it's not a standard legal deck then, oh well. edit: ohhhh, i see. it isn't actually the same symbol. didn't even notice...

doubt anyone really wants to pay 600 bucks for a standard deck anyway haha...that's more like vintage/legacy prices
