What if you add 4 gruul guildgate, 2 reforge the soul and a playset of something to rempve enchantments, because doubling season is going to make hibernations end skip 1-3-5-7 unless you throw out hibernation the round before doubling season, so it might be handy to have an enchant remover at hand, i know there is one in green but i can't remember what it's called..

hmmm i didn't even think about how it would skip certain costs. you can mitigate that though by making sure there's creature cards with each of the costs in the deck somewhere. you can see i just added a bunch more dragons that i think fit in the deck well. moltensteel seems especially nasty. i might even just put four of them in. you could almost do a one turn win combo with that. pay the life on the first one to get it out cheap, then ripple to cast one or two more, then pay almost all of your remaining life to boost the first one to like a 12/4 or something, then two more at 4/4 would give you a 20 life swing right there in one turn haha
i think the flameblast would get you some awesome early swings too, with all the mana ramp
Add 1 moonveil dragon and 1 utvara hellkite and you got a beastly combination going
yeah those dragons are definitely awesome. i'd start to worry about cost around this point though haha, dragons are pricey. probably another reason to just focus on the two dragons :Pedit: cost of buying the cards i mean, not mana cost
Well dollar-vise this is an ambicious build, if money is an issue i'd cut two doubling seasons, i know i had to,, those are expensive! ..
And if you take away 2 dragonspeakers and 2 thrumming stones, you could make room for a ramp spell, phyretic or desperate ritual maybe? Or rite of flame would be even better with the ripple effect! Make room for two additional spells, say red sun's zenith or another high damage output spell and you'll be well on your way to making this a really funky deck, And i know my opinions are quite outside the box, but i find it more interesting to live a little on the edge.
think it can get by with just 2 thrumming stones though? seems almost essential to have one on the board. i can easily drop 2 dragonspeaker's, though. and probably 2 evolving wilds, too. i love the rite of flame and red sun's zenith ideas, haha. i can drop the dragon broodmother and the flameblast dragon to fit them in. i think you really only need the rimescale and moltensteel dragons anyway
I'm just dropping ideas, its up to you to think further, but say we go drastic and throw in some really expensive cards? Just 2 really big heavy hitting ones that are easily put out on the battlefield using the doubling season - hibernations end combo, i'm thinking Eldrazi big, or Progenitus big, just something that costs 10-12-14 something, pulling out emrakul out of the blue in round 6 is no small feat.
that would be insane, but i love dragons too much. could always call those cards the sideboard though, and occasionally change it up to use them instead. it is an awesome idea.
If you decide to go for it, i reccomend progenitus, he is probably the most intimidating thing there is! And just to give you a small tip, sarkan vol the planeswalker would be nice to have here, doubling season makes him enter the battlefield with twice the ammount of counters remember, and he gives haste to everything, and dragon tokens, so i'd give him 1 spot if you can spare it :p
oh sarkan looks really nice, i'll probably add him in. do you think 4 of each elf is overkill? should i kick it back to 2 each or 3 each?
cloud key! oh man i totally forgot about cloud key. that's a great way to get both the dragons and enchantments and thrumming stone out faster
How about 5 elves combined, and 2 - 3 cloud key? Or you could take the better alternative and go for helm of awakening? But that one is costly...
well i realized i don't need so much green mana anyway, so i cut the llanowar elves down to 2. already was going to put 3 cloud key, so i can declare one for each if i need to: creature, sorcery/instant, enchantment. also added in a krosan drover for more reduction, and a ruby medallion. i think it's done for now, just got to test the balance and the mana curve and stuff. but i think it looks great like it is now.
I must say, right now this is looking good! If you end up making it, make sure to tell me how it plays out! I'm interested, very. ;)
the idea of it on paper is making me drool honestly, haha. i've tried for so long to build kind of an "ultimate dragon" deck, and this comes pretty close i think. two dragons isn't a big variety, but you should be able to get them out so fast it won't matter. and it keeps the deck cheaper than one with like 8 dragons, hah. plus this one has that 2nd way to kill you of slapping you with hugely buffed and rippling spells. i love the idea of that and think it fits perfectly with the dragon theme too. almost like they're breathing fire all over you haha

oops almost forgot i had to cover a 5 mana creature, so i put in the 2 stormbreath dragons, cause that's a sick dragon for just five. and of course i've got at least 2 of each dragon to try to take advantage of the ripple effect. i'm still considering reducing hibernation's end down to 2 and putting back in 2 more evolving wilds, cause i'm worried about being stuck with the wrong mana at the wrong time, hah. but i'll worry about that later. it's done for now, i'm heading to bed haha

was thinking about a sol ring but i'm worried i'll get stuck with too much colorless mana and not enough red for the dragons. and i'm not sure what to drop to put it in. btw, i just bought 16 of the cards in the deck, and i already have 2 more of them, so i'm on my way to having this deck :P ...picked up the thrumming stones, one flameblast(had the 2nd already), both rimescales, both utavara dragons, both moltensteel dragons, all 4 boreal elves, both dragonspeaker shamans and the korsan drover.
Awesome! But how are we on card draw? Swap out a card for "font of mythos" or "howling mine"? Because keeping cards at hand is quite important in this, unless you know of a way to draw cards that i don't?
there's sort of a bit with scrying sheets, but that's about it. it might need some card draw but i'm going to play test it first before i buy cards for that. i think i actually have an old ass howling mine lying around though, one of the ones with the brown border. so i could slap that in just to test it. probably drop the krosvan drover for it, right?

crap i forgot about steel hellkite...it's probably worth trying to work that in. with all the colorless mana reduction you might even be able to get a free cast on that one...
Steel hellkite is really worth it against decks with lots of cheap creatures, make a spot for it ;)
probably just drop the llanowar elves and 1 boreal druid to fit 2 of the hellkites in. i really might end up dropping the rite of flames and red sun's zenith...i really like the spells, but in looking at the draws, most of the times when i could ripple them i wouldn't end up drawing a 2nd one anyway. which makes it seem kind of wasted. i'm feeling like it makes more sense to focus on just the dragons. if i dropped all six of those cards i could put in a good deal of card draw to make the deck even faster. hmmm...i could always keep the spells in a sideboard too, and use them if needed
