Deck Description

This deck uses core set of 52 cards that is pretty stable.
Just add a 2 card artifact combo for 8 cards and you're set.

This deck uses the well known 2 card artifact combo

Phyrexian Dreadnought + Stifle = to put 12/12 creature into play for just two mana.

Another 2 card artifact combo that you could use
Painter's Servant + Grindstone

Does any one know of any other good 2 card artifact combos?

Blue Counter Top Core (52 card)

4 Daze

Deck discussion for Legacy Dreadnought

I think Pithing needle is better than stifle for this.

Hi thegreenestberg,

Sorry, but Stifle is better. Pithing Needle doesn't help get Phyrexian Dreadnought.

Pithing Needle only stops activated abilities of the named card from being activated.
Phyrexian Dreadnought's ability is a poster-child of a triggered ability.

To be more complete, Pithing Needle stops activated abilities. These are always written "Cost : Effect." Notice the colon. Triggered abilities start with "Whenever," "When," or "At..."

Trickbind and Torpor Orb also work instead of Stifle.

If fact I have made several decks based around breaking Phyrexian Dreadnought

Here is one that includes Trickbind along with Stifle
Stifle Trickbind Verion 2.0

Here is another that uses Torpor Orb

Yes this build also could be used to support Painter Grind.

Replace Dreadnought with Painter's Servant and Stifle with Grindstone.

But if you do so you go from a 1U mana combo (1 mana for Dreadnought and U for Stifle) to 5 color less mana combo (2 for P. Servant and 3 for Grindstone)

I've made several Paintergrind decks here is a links to one of them

Torpor Dreadnought Deck

It uses Torpor Orb instead of Stifle because it uses a Show and Tell core deck. This Show and Tell core could also work very well with Painter's Servant + Grindstone combo.
