How to Play

You know it...

I set up stuff for Foresight(1-2-3 mana counters, Shock, Blustersquall to survive & such)... ...but that's not a major part of the deck, only a possible late-game match decider...

Deck discussion for Firemind Mortars

Looks pretty good!

With all this removal and countering, I think it would be good to either give the cyclops double strike or to make it unblockable. The only red card that gives double strike is Armed (to which the other side is green).

What about Aqueous Form? Unblockable and let's you draw.

Thanks!..

I'd use Aqueous Form, if I played more creatures without flying... ...I'm thinking about using Chandra &/or Young Pyromancer... ...wouldn't be bad, I've seen players using Pyromancer & it's actually a great addition for your board-game with a deck that uses instant & sorcery spells mostly.......

There are some great cards from theros that I think you fit this deck well. A speallheart chimera is a very nice flying/trample for 3 mana and works really really well with a fast inst/sorc based deck. Then, for speed and to get what you need, we have steam augury. What do you think?

Thanks!

I've considered the Chimera, I just couldn't find space for it, even tough it's awesome after I've played Forseight, but the Cyclops is also & is better... ...with Steam Augury, you only seperate the stuff into two, but the opponent decides wich pile you get to have, so it can make you end up losing your best cards & you can do nothing about it, that's why everyone is using Jace instead, even in a deck besed on Instants & Sorcery...

I see. But still, the steam augury allows you to get other cards instead of just instants and sorceries. You just have to separate the piles in a way that say's "thank you" on both of them..
Since you have quite a lot of burn and draw don't you think you could remove: -1 anger of the gods, -3 uncovered clues, -1 nivix cyclops for +3 chimeras and + 2 steam auguries? Or maybe just -1 cyc, -1 uncovered clues and -1 anger of the gods for 3 chimera?

Well... ...I could try that... ...thank you!

...tough I'd rather play 2 Foresight than Steam Augury... ...& I like Jace so much more than Augury, since I can do the stuff more than once & I get to chose wich pile to grab, even tough it's only 3 cards... ...& it also gives me a board presence that attracts damage & gives me more time.......

Hey Poet, would you mind commenting on my Rakdos deck? I can't remember if you took a look at it or not...
