I really want to get this thing rolling! I think I'm replacing the treasure maps with glint-sleeve siphoners.

I'm not sure Hijack is better than Wrangle in the current meta. I was thinking of picking this up on MTGO.

Here is the simic link, I guess I don't have a way to directly message you on here: http://www.mtgvault.com/polis/decks/simic-ramp-rotation-proof/

I'm very iffy if it's workable or not. I used a lot of creatures that have embalm so if they are removed, countered or otherwise put in the bin they can come back.

I'm wondering if Hour of Devastation should be in the SB instead of Fumigate since I don't really have ways to deal with Planeswalkers directly outside of Cast Out.

Thanks!

Sometimes it is slowed down, but I think the cycling might be worth the ETB tapped. The Inspiring Vantage I have found not to be much of an issue with my sample draws since I can play the land turn 3 and be ok. I'll have to play around with the deck a bit.

This version is meant to be more competitive than the exert one, since I made that one more around a theme. I'm working on a simic ramp build right now, which I think will be survive after rotation.

Thanks! I have 1 of's because the standard meta is so wide right now. I think I'll have more copies of Heroic Intervention and a few other cards in the SB.

Also for the SB I am thinking of adding more aggro in to be able to sideout like Gideon, the Angel, the Champions and trial/cartouche.

I think your curve is pretty high in the current meta. I would cut Trueheart Twins for Resolute Survivors, that way the curve is a little lower and damage is still pushed through.

I'm not a huge Champion of Rhonas fan, I think it has more of a place in a ramp into big stompies deck. Here it just has minimal value. I think Ahn-Crop Crasher might be better in that slot. Or I would maybe cut down to 1 celebrant, 1 champion of rhonas and then 2 ahn-crop crashers. Celebrant has 1 toughness, which is just poop.

I like Throne of the God Pharaoh for guaranteed damage.

Yea test around with him, even as a proxy for now.

The utility of Jeskai Charm is great, but it's not usually a turn 3 play. If you need that extra damage option keep it in, but if you find yourself having enough burn, I would suggest trying out Voyage's End or even Whisk Away only because those two cards will generally be playable sooner than Jeskai charm. Whisk might be a we expensive.

On the other hand, you are control so it may not be an issue casting anyway.

I like the concept of this deck but it has some issues others have already commented on.

I'd run some soulfire grand master over jeskai charms. There is no real use for Jeskai Charm in this deck, the tempo gain is useless for control, 4 damage to player is ok but restrictive and the lifegain pump will rarely be used. It's useful too late in the game once Elspeth is out or you get off a Secure the Wastes. Soulfires allow you to not only conserve cards late game but provide that oh so valuable life gain. You can drop a soulfire on turn 8, keep up mana for nullify, negate, disdainful, magma jet or l. bolt and buy it back.

The deck seems like a lot of fun for the price.

Two words: Impact Tremors!

I think that card would work well in this deck to ensure damage would get through even if your creatures cannot.

I also suggest cutting the wandering champion just to remove needing white for the early game, reducing stress on your white mana, and replacing that slot with 1 Silence the Believers to remove indestructible creatures and 3 Lightning Berserker/Mardu Shadowspear/Mardu Scout (depending on your preference)

Another option is Vault Breaker, but it is a higher mana cost and lets you loot.

Oh, oh! One more thing, Glimpse the Sun God is cheap and would definitely let you swing in for insured damage mid-game when your creatures might not stack up as well against other mid-range creatures.

I like the concept behind this deck. I would recommend the following to ensure life-gain:

Remove 1-2 Brimaz and 1 Heliod. Add 2-3 Nyx-Fleece.

I would possibly find room for End Hostilities instead of Mass Calcify. It's not only cheaper but will remove Ojutai and Dromoka.

The BW life-gain, tap lands might work well or radiant fountain.

1 Ordeal of Heliod would really make your opponent cry.

Other cards to consider depending on how you want to play:
Sunscorched Regent - Will let you gain life, not a huge threat when it comes out so would stick around and grows itself with flying. Downside is 5 mana.

Overall the deck looks fun!

Bellz, BELLZ! Did you see the new Dragons of Tarkir cards!? Fat bottom love.

Foul Renewal
Profaner of the Dead (I know it's blue but still!)
Sight of the Scalelords (Not all that great but it's fat butt focused)

And of course, the most exciting fat butt card, Assault Formation.
