Deck Description

Deck combos around Rhys, Blade of Selves, and the token gens. Use Sundial to end before blockers are declared, you get to keep myriad tokens.

Also: I would put the blade on the Inquisitor cleric, choose to deal 2 damage to opponent for every token that comes into play.

Deck discussion for Rhys of the Myriad

This looks like a fun multiplayer deck, the more opponents the better. The combo wouldn't work very well 1v1 since the sword won't create any tokens against one defending player.

The deck kinda has a Geist of Saint Traft or Invocation of Saint Traft feel to it, like attacking to generate tokens.

I think Mimic Vat would be a great addition to the deck, since it combos with Sundial and benefits off lost creatures. Also its a very fun artifact imo.

The combo wouldn't work with the sword 1v1, but Rhys still gens tokens, and that will take care of the rest of the combo, just not as fast.

Uh... mimic vat is too difficult for me to understand, I'd end up fucking it up somewhere. And I'm not out to kill a creature, just create tokens from the one. Like, that's essentially what I remember from that artifact.

I did have angelic accord in there as well, because in case if the combo didn't work I'd still get some tokens. But I took it out because it seemed really slow (I only put one in there).

Mimic Vat is confusing, it's more an EDH staple than anything. I love it because (it's an artifact) when other peoples stuff dies you can just steal it from death, and stop them doing some stupid infinite graveyard combo XP

If you're looking for angel tokens there's the Moonsilver Spear; kinda fits with Blade of Selves, I guess. There's also this one angel producer that I don't think I've mentioned yet. The card Luminarch Ascension is a really strong enchantment with a pretty specific condition, but once it goes off it's a great token factory in ANY white deck.

Some more little notes:
~ Second Harvest > Parallel Evolution in most cases
~ looks like all you'll need is Parallel lives. Doubling Season is heckn expensive (worth it for planeswalkers tho) and Primal Vigor is dangerous in the hands of an opponent
~ I like the way you set up your lands

More ETB lifegain creatures to consider:
- Lone Missionary
- Loxodon Heirarch
- Swagtusk (Thragtusk)
- Kitchen Fink$

Well, honestly I want to kill the opponent as quickly as I can, with the combo (if it works), if not, I could literally just kill them with just an over-whelming amount of tokens.

I did see that Lum. Asce. Enchantment but I think it'd be too slow. I know some of my enchantments at high drops, but I want to be able to just play through quick without waiting for those quest counters.

Also: the lifegain was just a plus in addition to getting those tokens, just in case something goes wrong.

The real MVP is that Inquisitor cleric. I put some "tougher" creatures in there just in case they had like a -1/-1 or -2/-2 spell.

I want to just gen tokens out of the creatures I have currently;

And thank you for the land compliment makes me feel like I finally got gud

I want to keep the CMC cost between 0-2 for creatures and other things. I couldn't get away with that with the token gen, but it would be nice to find another ETB opponent loses life thing.

Edit: I took out the Primal Vigors and Doubling season.

I added:

2 more Parallel Lives
1x Second Harvest
1x Illusionist's Bracers

SB: 1x Second Harvest

I gotcha, You're not focusing on the life gain as much as the life-loss synergies/token gen

It's smart to keep the mana costs of the creatures low so you can have something to play early, and you can use your mana in the mid-game to cast combo cards.

The only other thing I can think of that's not in black or red... is that new artifact coming out in Eldritch Moon: Cryptolth Fragment/Aurora of Emrakul, the ramp is a plus for getting to Rhys' ult, but it is also kinda slow, idk what do you think?

Yeah, the problem with that is that I'd have to wait until that person's health is half gone. If I could flip it immediately once it's cast I probably would throw it in there, but I also lose a life too from that. And my creatures aren't crazy buffed or anything so taking dmg on top of having no creatures (worst case scenario) would be scary.

I did put extra artifacts in there later on. If you didn't notice. Any feedback? Good bad decision?

Illusionist's bracers are really awesome with Rhys and Trostani. Strionic resonator would be really good with Blade of Selves too, and the exarch. Plus it has a low mana cost so having one will add some flavor.
