Deck Description

I am very tired of aggro in this current format, especially humans. So in response, I am trying to come up with a list that can easily take out humans as well as not having a bad matchup against the other decks in the format.

strategy: keep the board clear early with sacrifice effects(edict effects)/discard and removing from their deck all the key threats. land something big when an opponent has no answer to it

key ideas:
1. edict effects are strong vs. many current popular threats namely, hexproof creatures like Geist of Saint Traft, Thrun, the Last Troll, and illusions. Also strong vs. difficult-to-deal with (for black) creatures like Mirran Crusader. (Pro tip: Follow up with surgical extraction)

If you plan to land an Obliterator, be very conscious of your opponents hand size and hand content, it is vulnerable to plenty of removal. If it is removed, you may be able to surgically extract the removal and Unbury Obliterator.

Be watchful for Oblivion Ring. It is a very real card, and the best way for you to deal with it is Ratchet Bomb. Liliana might be able to get it by discard, but don't count on it.

Against W/U human builds, Despise doomed traveler turn 1. Seriously. This makes all your sacrifice effects 100x better.

Vs. Control, Surgical extraction/despise/liliana is your best threat, along with Unburial Rites. You can wear down their counters and removal so that eventually you stick a threat and win with it. You're probably going to want to board out Metamorph for Sheoldred and Wurmcoil Engine. Also, ratchet bomb and despise hit their planeswalker (like Gideon, or maybe Karn) which really hurt their endgame plan.

Vs. Aggro Tokens or RDW, board in BSZ and Massacre Wurms. Ratchet Bomb is also very useful.

Deck Considerations In Process:
1. How useful is Dismember in Sideboard?
2. Is Nihil Spellbomb a liability w/Surgical Extraction?
3. What matchups do I bring in Memoricide for?
4. How do I stop a lethal Inkmoth Nexus, supposing Wolf Run managed to land a midgame Primeval Titan, without adding ghost quarter? (Bad for mana base and typically a poor card against wolf run regardless)
5. What ways can I increase the deck's card advantage engine, which currently relies on opponent discard and removal of their deck threats.

Final Thoughts: (Thanks for making it this far)-This deck relies greatly on the knowledge of your opponents deck and hand. Despise and Surgical extraction both let you see the cards in your opponents hand. You MUST play wisely around the cards you see.
